I’ve just found this and OH MAN is it a fun read. The sports series I’ve invested in so far are sports I either wasn’t interested in (basketball/volleyball) or was casually interested in (boxing), but I’ve not yet found a series I like about a sport I already enjoyed (let’s not talk about Prince of Tennis)...

The concept behind it is very “anime” and barely logical (to sacrifice 299 high level players for a single talent is wasteful at best - a lot of these players have traits that could be useful in other positions), but there’s a real competitiveness to it that makes it really easy to get invested in.

Would definitely recommend!

Ahh! Didn't know I found myself a fellow blue lock reader! I won't lie, I only started it cos of the twt hype around it by some of my friends there. It's a verrrrry shounen-esque sports series but enjoyable nonetheless! I wouldn't rank it up with my favorites but it's defo an interesting read. The art is crisp as well and the characters.. look good hehe. I'm a bit behind myself rn actually, wanted to stack up some chaps but ended up forgetting all about it... I'll hopefully catch up again soon

I've always been fond of football manga series, there are quite a few but they get less interesting eventually or just don't know where to go after certain point.

This one seems like little different, will keep on watch and stack chapters. Thanks for recommendation :nekohype:

Tbf I also saw it on twitter and I've REALLY wanted to find a good football manga so I'm 100% in for the ride with this one. If it doesn't get cancelled I could see it running for a while tbh

Caught up! Some really interesting developments so far...

It’s a super easy series to binge - I don’t think I could read this one chapter at a time

I get what you mean!
I found this pretty much as it was started being translated and caught up immediately so I've been stuck following as releases come out and it's definitely I look forward to.
I feel like there's been some good character development and somehow the story always keeps me hooked
