Like I KNOW he will, he has to and I’ve seen signs like I said but I hate him right now. It’s like telling me that Endeavor will grow/is growing as a person in BnHA—he still did what he did. I watched him learn but do change his actions or lack of empathy, etc.

I think that is very fair tbh, it's just yet another person who pushes the Furuya agenda, man there'll be some hurtful moments later, not even cos of Ochiai only. I understand it all but still... That's another thing I like about Daiya, it's not like Eijun said, aye imma be ace and did it within the first season already, he's really slowly building up to become someone worthy to be dependent on

The Furuya agenda can suck my d*ck. I like the guy fine but no. It’s about the team as a whole. And he wouldn’t be nearly as good without Eijun. Just saying. He’s grown as a person because of Eijun and that’s all there is to it. He still sucks at the beginning and needs to work on that. I guess this Teito game will make a difference. Time to get to watching and see what happens.

LMAOOOOO POOR FURUYA BUT YOU'RE IN FOR STH WITH THE TEITO GAME NO CAP. Anyway yeah, that's what rivalries within a team are about after all, and it makes me happy to see it. Still the furuya agenda being pushed hard by multiple people kinda hurts tho :( poor eijun kunnnn aaaa

OMG THAT GAME!!! I knew it! I knew Furuya was gonna choke and Eijun was gonna go in. Can we talk about how much Taiya and that tongue annoyed me?! I wanted to rip the damned thing off. Eijun did great and I was so happy when Zono knocked that 3 run RBI out. Like it was worth it. The look on Sarge’s face when Kataoka explained his rationale for putting Sawamura in the game—priceless. And Teito’s coach understanding it when he subscribes to the opposite philosophical perspective is like duh. So much good stuffs.

Yes that stuff. I finished season 1 though. Only got through the recaps in season 2 though. I wanna watch it. But I’m painting. Too bad for me. Took a quick break. Can’t even catch up on all my alerts right now. Gotta get back to it before the paint dries.
Oh yeah i could've told you that ep1/2/3 were recap, i skipped cos i went through it fast and knew it all anyways. But yeah s1, bitter ass end, cant believe people had to wait years for s2 after that lmao. Inashiro vs Seido match HIITTTTT and just sawa being all.. AHHHHH i couldn't :sweating:

I'm almost done rewatching season 1 and I still cried like a baby

Concerning Furuya
Spoiler
I'm one of the few people that loves him :usopp: His character is endearing. I like when he goes dragon ball z mode and wants to monopolize the mound. And his fast pitching is effective and beautiful to watch. And he's a perfect rival. There are too many baseball manga to count staring pitchers as the main character and like 90% have a fastball. I think the OPness of Furuya makes Sawamura's uniqueness shine more. The story becomes much more compelling because Sawa-chan has to struggle so hard to stand out. A lot of sports manga SAY how disadvantaged the mc is and yet they overcome opponents and rivals so easily, always make the starting lineup, etc. Sawamura is a character I can really relate to because of Furuya. I read the manga on mangago and the comments section is always full of people hating on Furuya XD. I have a theory that it's because they empathize too much with the characters they read and then don't like feeling like they're losing. They don't actually want an underdog story. They want to be labelled as a underdog, but really WIN IT ALL :laff: jsut my crazy ramblings that don't really have anything to do with your discussion XD

I don’t dislike Furuya at all! It’s the other folks pushing his agenda so hard that irks me, you know? The point at which they were acting like Eijun didn’t matter and was just a foil to make him better pissed me off. They’re both essential to me and I feel for him, I do. Like I get his loneliness and hunger. I just don’t want either of them to fall behind. When it looked like the sempai were ignoring Eijun for Furuya right after acknowledging him, that hurt. They both need to grow up but it’s just awkward. You know?

I’m of the mindset to have them all grow. I don’t mind him being the Ace right now. That makes sense. But Ochiai trying to get rid of him and make him self destruct was my issue. He’s the opposite of trying to grow everyone or let everyone have a chance. He’s results only and limited resources, etc. Yes winning is important but so is the experience of the players and their growth. For ALL of them. I don’t know what his trauma is but it’s raining all over the team.
