I agree with WeebyWitch 'cause a theory to be formed and get to become a reality... it shall only happen when it's held for a season.
We could do "themed" theory contests, kind of like how sweetjacky picks themes for PAW? For example, "Blackbeard" could be a theme. We give users 1 month or so to make submissions and then do voting etc.

Sounds like an interesting idea. I’m not really a theorist but my concern would be that theories would be “forced” as opposed to inspired. Then again I don’t really know how that works. I like themed events though as it would likely make it easier for the voters to have an idea of comparing apples to apples as opposed to apples to devil fruit, so to speak. Should work out pretty well at least as a test run. I’d say go for it.

So it's a bit of a double-edged sword in that it gives people who can't think of a place to start an idea to work from, but also it could lead to either fewer submissions (if people don't have ideas), or "forced" theories as you say.
I'll hopefully be starting this once I get a little more feedback, there's a couple more things I'd like to sort out with it too but I'm excited for this contest to happen!

I think the theory contest should not have a theme. This will lead to fewer entries as people will find it difficult to make a theory on a certain topic when their investment in theory making lies in another topic. The contest should be like a showcase of theories made by the community for the public to see. All the participants should get ample rewards for participation in the contest. To choose 1st, 2nd and 3rd positions, theories can be judged on certain criteria like 1) Creativity, 2) Originality, 3) Presentation, 4) Simplicity and more.

Heya I am in, themes like Reverie, Blackbeard or Elbaf would be interesting for me, else I would be fine with anything, but I also agree with Rohan's aspect.
Freelancer theories might be more appealing, but if every participants agrees and we have themes for the contest, then it would also be interesting. It gives alot to compare with the contestants.
I guess I'm in the minority that a themed contest is more detrimental (points already mentioned). It does make it easier to compare/decide a winner with the theme though.
Back to the blind Oda faith (until the next B.S. of course).
Even in one of the most developed countries in the world, millions of children will go hungry over the school holidays - with millions of tonnes of food being wasted.
FareShare are an organisation that work to redistribute food that would normally go to waste to get it to the communities that really need it.
