I think if there is a One Piece Theory contest it will be a good idea. Rej has participated in some of them in the past.

I'm all for anything to get more theories posted! I'm happy to help out, but gonna tag Marco Polo since I think he was the one running it back at OPF.

Back to the blind Oda faith (until the next B.S. of course).

This is something we did for a while back on OPF - I'd be interested in starting it again for sure, provided people want to write entries etc.

this is the most important part. I would leave it for a moment untill we got a few theorists around.

It’s not the easiest contest to enter, cause you wanna come up with a theory that’s not posted yet (unless you enter with one of your own older theories) and it’d have to be something good, too. Like, plausible. Or at least something with a good argumentation.

I would personally like it very much to be a thing, but would probably only enter once or twice, because I can’t think up a theory every month hahaha (unless you wanna make this a yearly thing; now that might make this more interesting, cause a lot of theories will have been posted in a year)

We had such a contest on Oro Jackson and we have such a contest on my homeforum. If you don't shy back from low activity in early stages, then it might be a nice thing.
I will make sure to post a theory then. :himew:

OK, so with regards to a theory contest - what kind of time frame do we want for submissions? Should we go monthly like sweetjacky's PAW/ Chaud's SoTM? Or would people prefer a seasonal approach similar to how the old OPF Member of the Season award worked?

I think monthly is a good idea.

I think maybe two monthly? Making a theory does consumes quite some time no, I wouldn' t want anybody just throwing some half-assed theorie here just because they could join that month.

Seasonally would probably work best. But monthly is too frequently, IMO. The seasons were basically quarters, right? This allows for not only a good amount of entries but the discussion periods for them as the ability to rebut and defend your theory is just as important as putting it out there.
