Not gonna lie, Dr Xeno is kinda hot (it must be the suit). Anyway, about the actual chapter.
I like how Senku gets to have another scientist to face off against. And Taiju finally gets to shine, that's nice.
The suit is definitely part of it! Even the additional make-up to further exaggerate his face "X". It is kinda subtle, but the mature/adult features are excellently done by BOCHI. It seems like Xeno and Stanley are still in their early 20's but that's still potentially a decade of experience with most of it being at a professional level. Ah, so the "air" of confidence is probably another huge aspect of this.

Yup, all of us agree that Taiju really needs his time to shine. I love the almost excessive overemphasis on it "just not being right" to shoot machine guns at people. Taiju is just driven by his morals.

The war begins!

Xeno’s got home field advantage AND better technology, so even with the powerups our team are getting, there’s still a massive uphill battle to be had.

I’m curious to see how strong Stan is compared to Tsukasa and team, too. I’m guessing he’s stronger? But if it’s a 3v1 then that could help swing the battle in Dr. Taiju’s favour.

Yup, it was a great chapter that set up the next 20-40 chapters probably. With the intellectual advantage of being an adult, I assume the physical aspect has a similar boosting for Stanley.

Suika isn't to be underestimated. Even for Stanley's instincts, watermelons do grow in the wild so I have little doubt she plays a key role in jamming/negating the machine gun. Her stealth and infiltration is why she's included and she is going to play key roles in both the action with Stanley and they main "war".

The numbers are their only advantage, but then again, each of them have a very unique skill/strong point. So the teamwork will probably be what gets them the victories. But each Xeno-side member is a prodigy at least one thing (seems like they are well rounded at everything).

Hopefully we get to see more team battles when Stanley doesn't come back and Xeno sends someone else to the Perseus.

So many spoiler tags wahah, anyway, finally started to read it with my snail speed :D and so far I really enjoy it the same as the anime. I always laugh so much, when there are shown over-reacted faces, reminds me of One Piece, LOL

Those faces: <3

The spoiler tags are just to be sure people like you can still enjoy at your own pace. But I 100% agree on Bochi's WTF faces! It is not unique to him, but he definitely takes it to a unique level/unique art style.

Inagaki has the fastest pacing of any series I've ever read. So for me, this is one of the few series where there is almost no difference between the manga and anime since the pacing is so fast and the writing is so complete that they should almost completely mirror each other.

The mangaka must love his work and is very enthusiaistic, I like that :3 I think I watched some talks with him, and I admired that he managed to make his ideas and dreams into Dr. Stone, worth an effort indeed <3

I'm a sucker for learning about what drives a person. I'm going to have to look for these, so thanks for sharing! If I like the person, I like their work even more.

Of course! I hope you get hooked and binge read to catch up! SOOOOOOOOO much to discuss as you go through! Man...it's great to see those highlights. Seems like only yesterday (I binge read probably 100 or so chapters, which feels like 500 chapters by Oda's previous One Piece pacing). I hope you enjoy this series as much as I do, plus since I binge read, I didn't get a chance to discuss those parts thoroughly.

I love it, it's easy to read, often playful and crazy funny, yet still very cool in serious moments <3 I will continue to read it now, will see how fast in comparison to you, but won't read any other manga during it :) Btw I actually wrote sth similar in general anime discussion, but the anime and manga too ofc totally fulfilled my dream of a chemist ahah, finally making anime/manga about science <3
