Haha...for sure! G-8 was so good, I thought it was canon for the longest time (and most people on K-F thought it was too).
yup it wasn't until i joined the forum that i realized it was filler.
thats the highest praise for a filler.
i really hope oda makes jonathan into a real character, cuz that boi was a man fully deserving to be a vice admiral even though he did not fight at all in a series like one piece where power is everything

I agree with Jonathan and I think most people enjoyed G-8. Condoriano has the biggest following though. Surprised that isn’t a fanclub here actually.

The direction, animation and music in this scene is fantastic. It’s the perfect tribute to Pedro’s death still makes me tear up.

That connection to Ace and Tama’s reaction. Just lovely.

The one moment that just comes to mind is the burial of the Going Merry. It was the very first time I cried while watching anime.
I'm not an emotional guy or something even close. But that broke my heart.

Another is the Zoro taking up all the damage from Kuma.
Man what a goosebump moment.

Third one is the Strawhats getting send away from Kuma. Holy moly, I was stunned. I started watching the anime and this was really the last few eps before I was up to date After that I started joining forums and reading the manga.

One Piece is really becoming a big part of my life if I relieve it like this. I was so young when I started.. :lul:

Luffy stunning the world in general never gets old :D

Anytime when Luffy makes angry another powerfull enemy or turns their faces into funny ones XD and ofc any final punch finishing his enemies :3

Luffy's Marineford entrance, falling with the ship, bickering with companions, shouting Ace's name, marvelous <3

Ace's release, Ace escaping with Luffy in a flame tunel

Going Merry's burrial for sure TT

Departure from Alabasta, Vivi - Straw Hats nakama

Lucci x Luffy fight

Luffy waking up on Amazon Lily XD

Luffy ready to return after Ace's death, taking his strawhat

Sanji's first use of Diable Jambe

And there is much more, but these came on my mind just now :)

And it seems I remember only Luffy's scences damn it XD

This will always hold a special place in One Piece memories for me. It is the first and biggest jump in animation quality and anime production quality (the first completely custom symphonic BGM vs. just small groups/bands). PLUS, this was after months of the ABSOLUTE WORST fillers and expansion (for One Piece since I got through about a year of piece of crap Naruto fillers before I gave up). The contrast just highlights the difference, and it is perfectly fitting of Luffy overcoming a key nemesis (and all the ties with Robin and her "IKIIIITAAAAAAAAIIIIIIIIIIIIIII!!!" scene).

The whole arc has very powerful impact on me too, I even made a little poster of Gear Second scene, when Luffy shows one hell of a determination to finally beat Lucci (I put it on my room's door to always remind me :3), aah and then that shooting of the World Government flag, will never forget those moments <3

Wasn't Ikitai scene probably the first scene Robin shouted? Very challanging job to do for her voice actor, but it turned out to be the special moment of Robin's story, the turning point even! Nice job! :3

Yes! Sounds like we had a similar level of impact from episode 309. Do you still have the poster?! But yea, such a momentous arc with so many great moments.

Yup on Robin's scene. At first I hated it because it is the back-up seiyuu, who sounds quite different. But seeing it used has me liking it even though I hear a different voice. Probably the most important scene in all of Water 7/Enies Lobby.
