Basically, this kid wants to work at SLC. The people who do the corrections are called correctors but maybe the kid thought "they mark the mistakes in our answers, so marker!" (xD)
Technically...none of this is wrong!

Anyway, I think I mentioned the possibility of getting a job in SLC management here but forgot if I shared the final outcome.
I have been working as a quality control manager at SLC, directly with the Japanese company, since April. Now I am no longer a corrector. I supervise correctors' work and evaluate the quality.
Damm. I've come far. Me from even last year wouldn't believe it if I went back to the past and shared the news. My past self would be like "YOU'RE LYING HOW CAN THE FUTURE BE THIS GOOD I DON'T BELIEVE YOU GO AWAY"

Anyway, I still get to contribute to these childrens' growth and I couldn't be happier with my job UwU

Ehehee :chopper: Itsumo ouenshite kurete arigatou gozaimasu :brook:
And yes, the job itself is rewarding to me and I'm waiting for the time when I can work IN Japan :kewl: I've already checked out travel routes to all the awesome places from Miyazaki (the prefecture where I'll work in). Now I just have to impress my boss enough to whisk me away as soon as corona subsides :laff:

Dr. Stone saved science educationnn :wavyyay: :wavyyay: :wavyyay:

I remember reading a news article once, that junior high school kids were becoming more interested in studying science after reading/watching Dr. Stone. I think Japan also made a sort of science show with Mecha Senku doing various experiments or things like that.

Too bad the corrector who checked this essay doesn't know Dr. Stone (I think they aren't into anime/manga at all). If it were me, I'd have totally gone full on otaku mode :pikajoy:

Nice, already set on a location! Man, this is making me think of all the good food...and my memory isn't that bad considering this isn't where my relatives are but you are close enough to make a weekend if there are One Piece events at Huis Ten Bosch. Hopefully soon!

Haha, that definitely sounds like Japan to take something popular and make it even more popular/widespread.

I found some more anime-answers /o/

In Spring 2021 season, there was an anime named Yakunara Mug Cup mo (Let's Make a Mug Cup Too) which is based in a place named Tajimi and highlights the local pottery art. While reviewing correctors' work, I found this and immediately knew the kid is talking about that anime!

It feels great when you can tell What's That Anime like this :troll: I even remember the particular episode where they showed how hot it gets there during summer!

This next one is funny because the student tried to write the name in English and got it wrong (the Japanese name is Shiroi Suna no Aquatope) xD The corrector couldn't understand and asked me, and of course I knew UwU
(including the corrected version for a better idea)

When poor corrector-chan saw the actual name, she was like, "white SAND omg" xD Another funny thing is that I've been sleeping on this anime this whole season (it's currently ongoing) though I really wanted to watch it because of the beautiful art. After seeing this answer, I finally started watching it!!

Hey, whatever source inspiration comes from, the inspiration is all that matters!

Glad to hear about series covering arts though. There was a whole generation where the arts were frowned upon excessively.

Really? But you wrote "arts"...I think there's a gap there. I was talking about the artwork of the anime. The story itself covers work-life at an aquarium and marine life O.O
If you're talking about the education branch we call arts - that's still frowned upon where I come from :laff:
