Oh I watched this days ago. I thought I posted! Where did my post go?!
episode 3
Umm... that backstory was totally F-Ed up. Of course Nobara being a total shit during the beginning of the test was meh. She got what she deserved. If she hadn’t gotten help, both her and that kid would’ve died. Like I get being there just to escape the small-mindedness but clearly she’s small minded as well because she was judging them as soon as she met them. Hypocrisy much? I enjoyed watching the two of them geek out over Tokyo though. That was cute.

The preview got me tensed, however. None of the three seem to be disposable characters. Even if one of them die, they'll come back to life, right? Maybe their soul will wander off to another dimension for a while and then return to the body? Maybe people will "know" that a first year died but that would be just a rumour? Aaaaaaaaaaaaaahhh the next episode should also be released early!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
oh right. That’s just rude. It can’t be true. I don’t believe it. I’m just going to ignore it completely lol.

C'mooon. She's a teenager xD Teenagers make mistakes. Let her off just a bit. Sensei is trying to get her to realize stuff organically, so we'll definitely see her growth.

Oh I was a shit as a teenager and I judge myself for it. You don’t get a pass for your age. We’ve got to teach people at any age when they’re doing wrong *shrug*. Hell I expect to get called on my shit for the rest of my life. It’s the only way to grow. Saying things like “they’re just kids” or “boys will be boys” just reinforces the status quo of messed up systems. I do hope that she’s going to grow and I liked that she was able to be thankful. That showed real promise. I don’t like them making her out to be a stereotypical “bitch” or having Itadori call her one though. That rubbed me the wrong way. Like like don’t detract from their characters like that. Or rather, she can be strong and assertive without it being perceived that way. What year are we in? I enjoyed the backstory. I think that we’ll probably see that her initial judgements are her defense mechanisms due to it. Showing that she’s got layers is important. I don’t dislike her. My initial judgement of her at her introduction (at the end of the one episode) was me letting my personal baggage overflow onto the show so that’s my bad.

I'm just waiting for that to settle in :pikajoy: I think it's already settling in too. Nobara got pretty friendly toward Itadori and Fushiguro near the end of the episode. When they started heading back, she even noticed how Fushiguro looked down and asked what's wrong.

I saw your statement earlier... but you also said to cut her slack and I was responding to that part and sharing my general life thoughts and how it applies to the show/why I reacted the way that I did. I’m not very patient when it comes to such things. I’m more of a blunt/call you out kind of person if even if I do it tactfully. Sensei might have his style and that’s fine but he hasn’t started teaching anything yet—he just picked her up and tested her. So we don’t know. ^_^

I finally started watching this show, so far I'm enjoying it so I'll definitely continue. The opening is good and the animation is pretty neat so far.

Episode 1
Oh noooo he ate the finger!!! :blush2: That’s so gross :azusad: Idk why but that's just the first thing I wanted to say about it xD Looks like he shares his body with some evil demon now, that sure sounds bothersome.

Also it's only the first episode but the grandpa already died, that's so sad :( I liked his last words though.

And I absolutely loved the Shikigami of the spiky haired guy, such cute wolfies :kewl:

The only thing I don't understand is that Yuji got this "superhuman" strength before any of this supernatural stuff even happened. Like, how did he even jump up to the first floor and then through a window? :rogerlul:

IKR?! Why is he super freaking strong like that?! And umm—like I get it’s a dire situation but how crazy do you have to be to swallow that with no hesitation and HOW DID HE NOT CHOKE?! There’s a pointy nail on it and it’s looooong the finger and the nail. Plus those wolves are totes adorbz. Always here for wolf love. They need a safer job though.

Maybe the dead guardian/super strength thing is just necessary anime protagonist setup? :rogerlul:

Yeah, that's what it probably is but it would be nice if there was a reason for it xD

I mean, I’m pretty sure it’s not a satire... they’ve gotta give us some sort of deeper backstory later like he’s actually descended from the guy who’s finger he ate or the people who sealed him up or something like that. And that explains why he’s so strong and why Gramps lives a loner life, etc. He was secretly fighting curses or something.

Of course that's the first thing you wanted to say about it. That left all the viewers bamboozled (surely the same thing happened to the manga readers when they first read it without knowing anything xD)

He's shown to be a super athletic guy from the get go. From the first episode, I thought that he was born with it, so somehow it didn't bother me much xD Probably he's been into sports stuff since he was little. That made him the perfect candidate for the sports clubs and the PE teacher also desperately wanted him. But Itadori being Itadori, in high school he cared only about getting home soon and not about utilizing the fantastic physical attributes he is blessed with xD
