I decided that's it's just fair to let you guys know about new big features when they are about to come out and what's been done so far, and of course every update (even if minor) will be listed in this thread (which i'll lock for the sake of it staying clean).

New features:
- Better ping with right colours and username link
- User profiles to show every rank banner & groups
- Read all notification on dropdown open without having to select them all
- Mobile UI optimised with bottom buttons
- Post merge feature when double posting

In progress:
- Selective multiple quotes (requested by users)
- Improvements to user profile for a better general experience

Introducing Robbery & Donation system for VVCash

From now on, users will be able to rob or donate each other's VVCash.
Robbery will only happen to cash on hand, so make sure to deposit your cash in your vault if you want to keep it safe, however at some point in time vault will have a withdrawal cost.
There also have been some minor bug fixes and little theme updates.

Robbery
- Chance to make a successful robbery: 25%
- Penalty on failed robbery: 5% of desired robbery value
- Percentage of maximum robbery: 10% (this means you won't be able to steal more than 10% of the user's current VCCash).

Donations:

- Donation transfer fee: 5% (of amount you are donating).

Others

- Due to the increased amount of information on the view topic sidebar, there have been some design changes (quite noticeable).
- Top user of the month badge is currently showing in the dropdown, however will be soon sorted to be clearly visible on the current top poster's profile.

Latest Development:
Introducing a whole new quick reply functionality (sorry it took a bit long).

- Ability to select and quote parts of messages (simply select and hit quote, it'll fill up the floating quick reply)
- Nice and stylish floating quick reply that follows you around, so it'll be easier to quote people's posts.
- When changing pages, your textarea will remember what you were writing, it'll be much easier to quote something few pages back
- Quick reply now has an editor

How to hide it:

If you want more space on your screen (especially on mobile) you can easily hide the floating quick reply clicking on the bottom left arrow down icon, it'll toggle the textarea and generate a little floating chat icon on the left side of your screen. You can then re-open it at will.

Big feature in progress:
- Improvements to user profile for a better general experience

Little teaser (don't take it too literally, but please DO build the hype)

- Custom profile header
- Profile comment section (this is tough tho, i'm hoping to actually release both at the same time)
- Profile full restyle

VCC is one step closer to Progressive Web App and now has a notification system

- You've probably noticed by now that the site requested you to either add on the home screen (mobile) or receive notifications (desktop/mobile). It's entirely up to you if you want to allow it or not, you can simply say "no" in the popup and disable it or enable it and get notified for certain things.
- Adding to home screen doesn't automatically enable notifications, you'll have to both click "yes" on the popup and allow the browser to notify (silly internet regulations).
- In case you enable notifications i HIGHLY suggest you go and change your settings accordingly to what kind of notification you want to receive in: UCP -> Board preferences -> edit notification options , there you have the browser specific ones as well now.

I didn't get a prompt to add the website to my home screen and use it as an app

- You'll have to clear your browser data/cookies in order to allow it again i'm afraid (you do not need to delete your browser history, however let's face it.. it might help with those naughty sites )
- This probably won't work with iOS devices as of now, so if you are in the Apple family, i'm afraid complain with them for making it close to impossible to achieve this.


I hate this damn notifications, DISABLE THEM!
- I get you, in the settings mentioned above there will be a lovely toggle to disable them, otherwise you can always browse the browser/device settings and disable them manually from there

We have a whole new user profile system

Ok, this was a massive update and i'm still shaking, not sure if it'll work out as well as I'm hoping, but we live and learn!
Please if you find meaningful bugs report them in feedback and i'll try and sort them. I've also made sure that everything is reversible as I'm a tad worried about it, however, I've intensively tested it and it should all be fine.

- User profile have been entirely restructured, with the added functionality of the cover photo. Make your profile as pretty as you like!
- User statuses have been implemented and will show on both the sidebar and your profile.
- Users can comment on user statuses (however can't yet leave likes, nor delete their own comments)
- Users can leave a nice message on somebody's profile's wall, which is another little feature i wanted to implement. A good old guestbook (this can be deleted).
- Profile will also show the user's latest activity as well as their friend list. The foe's list will stay private as i believe that might get messy otherwise.

Also, as i promised i do keep an eye out on the feedbacks

- List of latest post have been sorted and now it shows the latest user to post with the link to the actual latest post.

What's next, rio?

- The Shop (however i'll take a hiatus on this as i need to think how to implement it properly)
- A better topic view for mobile users (incoming soon enough)

Profile view entirely re-factored on mobile

This happened because the more i was using the forum on mobile, the more i was getting frustrated with the UI on mobile. I've refactored a few things here and there but major points are:

- Avatars are now visible and nicely positioned between posts
- Fonts are a tad bigger and everything should be easier to read. Might get some getting used to but i believe this works better. It's a beta, so in case there are issues please post in feedbacks
- User info slides in from the right handside, and cuts through the existing infos
- Quick reply emojis are now layered out better and won't force you to scroll down to get to the text area once opened.
- General page / colours improvements.

Please as always let me know in bug reports/feedback thread if anything it's not working or if you hate this. For now it's easily reversible as it was a spur of the moment. I'll go back working on the shop now.

Little updates:

- Minor adjustments to desktop view and topic view
- Full restyle of the chat
- Added a functionality to quickly find smilies, it's a beta, forgive any issue. The smilies will NOT appear under the text you are typing, it'll be at the bottom left of the textarea. On Desktop you can hit enter to select the first available one.
- Added a "similar topic" functionality (aside from a few section where it felt redundant)
- Posts now have a "share" button, it's mostly for SEO purpose, but feel free to share your posts across the social media listed
