Lol, the more violent Senku Science Gang members treating the drill as a murder weapon (and Kaseki wondering if it's overkill).
Taiju is completely unconcerned about both the language difference and the fact that the scouts are enemies (also funny).
Ah yes, high schoolers. They are scary indeed (at least the enemy scout dude seems to think so).>
The Hyouga part felt unnecessary since he's been committed to the group since his defeat (and his loyalty to Tsukasa is probably a big part of this).
I'm excited for the Taiju focus/character development especially since Xeno figured out Senku's identity super early into this war. The "younger" people naturally willing to help out even though their logic says they shouldn't be doing so is probably a great theme that will continue throughout the series.
I'm curious to see the raw because I don't know how Carlos hears "tunnel" since they should be speaking Japanese and only certain phrases by Taiju are in English. I mean, I guess they could let their guard down and say tunnel in English. He doesn't see the drill yet either, but this is all minor and probably gets cleaned up in the anime.
Taiju is the greatest "endurance" freak, so actually he's perfect for this job. He's just as strong as the combat team members, but has astronomically greater endurance. They will all take rotations which allows for enough recovery by the time everyone else goes. I guess by manga magic, we are skipping over the boring work of having to carry out all the rubble and reinforce to prevent collapse. But either way, we see how fast it will progress and get foreshadowing of the members of Xeno's group seeing the benefits of working together, which will get Xeno to join (he's probably going to tell Senku to kill him or something upon defeat).
Ah yes, the classic "You defeated me, now take my life" thing. Dr. Xeno would be edgy enough to use such a line (as if Senku would allow that).
