I wasn’t saying that I’d ever seen any blue for him but that I wouldn’t be surprised if it ever showed up for that reason. You know me, I let my mind wander and come up with possibilities to explain the data that we have. It looks like I was missing some of it, since I try not to look too closely at opening spoilers (I’m convinced they spoil the manga too sometimes) but there you have it. Maybe that’s the answer. I guess we’ll find out! ^_^
I'm convinced Oda is planning on having Luffy be his normal size for Gear Fifth/his awakening after this opening. So yup, definitely agree! Ah, I was following the other colors coming up, so just wanted to make sure I didn't miss anything (was following the flame concept but I always want to fully clarify to make sure => and I think both of us are getting the gist of the other's personality/preferences/quirks).
I'm liking the fire aspect as an expansion of Oda's initial explanation of how Sanji and Luffy's "souls burn" hot enough to create their flames. Hopefully it doesn't become a universal haki power-up, but I like it to help bride the gap they both need. >
To be fair, I think they’ve both seen Kaido and Jack who aren’t small by any stretch of the imagination—even Yokozuna was big enough to require Gear 3 hands—so they do have unusual standards. Furthermore, Kiku is pretty huge herself in comparison to a normal height of a person.
I mean, Tama was around Ace learned to make Oars’ hat. Did he bring it back with him or make it in Wano? Because I thought he made it there. Just that alone would change her idea of the scale of people. But I’m probably misremembering and he made it later in Oars’ flashback while they were together not in Wano. I think he said he learned how on his travels.
Hmmm...I'm blanking on how Kiku responded when Jack showed up (she had to have been there since Luffy is still new to Wano Kuni). Kiku I can kinda understand because the "warrior mentality" is to never fear any opponent and to trust her skill level. Tama...makes sense once I think about how Big Mom got dressed up by them. She was scared of the original "Big Mom appearance", but isn't now that she got cute-sy. Cuz this is why she is so fearful of when Jack and Kaidou showed up. Size does play a factor, but the perceived threat is the biggest for Tama and the dressing up negates that for her.
My understanding is that Ace learned the weaving in Wano, but made it afterwards. I don't think we ever see the initiation of the project. I'm kinda vaguely remembering a manga panel of Ace working on an incomplete version and Oars didn't comprehend what it was going to be. I know for sure Oars enjoys and makes a comment on how it keeps his head dry.
