I've also heard that unlike popular conventions in the rest of the world, vending machines don't just drop chips and candy in Japan, they facilitate quite a few things.
Their vending machines contains everything, like EVERYTHING, sometimes I wonder, how do ppl actually buy it on the street not being awkward, if not anything else :
I've heard that Japan is in general, extremely quiet country, to the point that it can drive people who go there from bustling cities nuts due to change of pace.
I would enjoy that tho, who would like to be in noisy overcrowded places all the time :
I've also heard that there is actually a toilet seat restaurant in Japan, I don't know how it works but dish/bowl is in the shape of actually toilet bowl I guess.
I'm not surprised, I should, but in Japan is probably possible to see or experience many things we can dream of (or have nightmares about XD)
I've heard that lot of old people die all alone in their apartments and don't get discovered for months since everything is auto paid on a bank account, so till the money runs out there is a good chance no one will know you are no more.
Heard that too, horriffying : But I think, something similar might be possible in other places too, don't know how frequently, but for example in America, Russia or simply in any quite vast countries, people may live in detached houses in enviroment similar to a wasteland, the first civilization far away, no relatives anymore, possible not being found for a very long time. Don't know how is it in China... Could only guess.
I've also heard that the real Japanese population is actually not into "BustyBeauty" of anime and manga as the world would like to think, they do this specifically to attract readers from the western world. (US-EU)
Wahah, who knows, it depands on a person, but Japanese are in general raised to be very proper, and they seem to be more shy and distant in comparison to the foreigners, but again, it's very generilazed, rumours, can't be applied on everyone :)
Thank you for your post, it was an interesting read, ppl should know even the bad sides of something they like, to complete the picture. In Japan, there are many contrasts, and we can only get surprised by every news we get and take it I guess, tho the mass media are "scary" as itself O.o>
Oooo and for food, I want to eat okonomiyaki. I had some in korea but it was also changed to fit korean tastes so I really want to taste original okonomiyaki.
Yaay, japanese salt pancakes, I would so want to try them too, even try to fry them by myself in one of those cook-it yourself restaurants.... ehm, after someone shows me how it's done of course ahah <3 Would you try some with shrimps or an octopus? :
I visited japan like 4 years ago? But unfortunately I was a HUGE WEEB at the time(I still am but oh boy, I was insane back then) and so all I did in Japan was stay in Akihabara and explore JUST the anime part of Japan. I didn't visit a single shrine or temple or go to see any sceneries. :'( I regret so much.
Donť mind, that is admirable by itself! I never visited Japan, but I plan to do so in the future, it's my life dream <3
I don't have a specific list of where I want to visit when I do go to japan again but this time, I really want to go see some sceneries and experience japanese cultural events.
Totally agree, at least one festival would do and I'd die from happiness (but would have to get used to those crowds >.<)
Ahh but something that I'm jealous of is Japan's Mcdonald happy meal toys. LIKE they give out little anime figures for happy meals!!! Last time I went, they had dragon ball and pokemon toys As a weeb(and a happy meal toy collector xD), it brings me joy to see those toys.
Aah, so wastfull, and otakus all around the world are crying in the corner right now somewhere I want that too! >.<
