First thing first: THIS IS NOT MY WRITING.
I work as a home tutor form some high schoolers and I gave them a story writing homework with the prompt 'end of the world'. One of the kids watches anime - he recently finished Tokyo Ghoul season 1 - and he wrote this. This is just too spectacular to not share (he said it was fine for me to share xD)
Right now it is 2050. Two types of species are living peacefully in the world. They both talk, laugh, and stay friends with each other. But there is a big story behind it. Back in 2020 humans were invaded by the dreadful coronavirus. It was a type of virus that was killing humans at a large number. But the other species was not getting affected by the virus as they were not human. So they were not concerned at all. But one them was concerned as he was half-human and half-ghoul. His name is was Kaneki. As he was a human before, he was really concerned. The ghouls were happy as they were getting enough food. But a ghoul named Lite Yagami was thinking something else. He was thinking about conquering the world where he would be the king and no human will would exist. Many of the ghouls agreed to fight beside him. But some ghouls didn’t agree. He didn’t listen to them. As he had a large army, they took other ghouls as their hostages. Then the ghoul army started attacking humans and killing them. Humans couldn’t fight back because, besides weapons, they were also using the virus. In 3 months they conquered Japan, USA, Canada. Mass number of humans were dying. Then somehow Kaneki, Hinomi, and Touka bolted fled from there. By the time They killed Lite Yagami with a Trap. Then in front of the world Kaneki said, “The killing of humans means killing of Ghouls.” At first, they didn’t understand. Then he explained that if they killed humans like this, there would be no existence of humans in the world. As a result, the ghouls would die searching for food then. Then Ayato said,” “Humans are also getting killed by the coronavirus. How will you save humans from that?” Then with Ayato, Hinomi, Touka, Nishiki, Akihiro, and Kaneki made a team. Then they consulted with a human medical team for saving human lives. As the head of the team, Dr. Shafin was counseling with them. Then Dr. Anika came up with the idea that they can make a vaccine from ghouls’ blood as it was strong enough to prevent coronavirus. With that idea and with the help of the ghouls, they were able to make a proper vaccine for humans. Then Dr. Shafin also made a deal with Kaneki that no ghoul would ever attack any human from now. Humans would automatically send their dead people to them ghouls for their feast or if they find anyone, first they would take them to humans and then they could take it. And also, humans and ghouls could be friends with each other. With that, the humans were saved and also the ghouls were no longer in tension for food. For all of this, the world is right now a better place for living.
NB. He changed "Light Yagami" to "Lite Yagami" because this Light's ghoul AU version xD
