A thread for general forum questions for staff

I was thinking that maybe it would be a good idea to create a thread in this section where users could ask admins and mods simple questions about the forum that they can't find answers to. For example, I have a question about buying nickname effects in the shop, but I have no idea where I should ask it. I also saw in the chat the other day that a user had a question about the upvoting system not being present in the new webtoon subsection when it was created. A thread like I'm proposing would be a good place to ask questions like those since they're not such a huge issue that they would need their own thread. I don't like the idea of asking them in the chat because if lots of people are posting, the question gets buried, or maybe the asker isn't online when the answer is given and doesn't end up seeing it. I was also thinking that maybe it could be pinned so that it's easy for users to find.

I do not think a pinned question thread is needed. If a user has a question he/she can create a thread on it. A pinned thread restricts users from posting threads. This prevents the user from gaining cash by making threads and also prevents an increase in the threads stats of the forum. If a user thinks that the question does not need its own thread they can ask in the chat thread and most of the time staff or other users will respond and answer the questions. I think this method gives users more freedom on the forum.

Regarding the other points we do have a feedback thread where people report if things are not working here, however is not pinned, might be worth pinning it If you buy a nickname effect, then switch to a second one, but then later decide you want to switch back to the first one, do you have to buy the first one again? Or is it a one time purchase? It's not really about anything not working, which is why I didn't want to post it in there. Do you want questions like this posted there anyway?

That is a good question indeed, every item you buy in the shop will be always available in your ucp -> shop panel, and you can switch between them at will (so if you buy a second effect you can always switch to the first one and vice versa) And yeah, ask anything you want in the feedback thread, is easier for us to keep track of it :) Hope this helps

Asking this because I cannot find the answer in any of the instruction threads :< I just bought a bunch of banners but my UCP shows that I can have only one on display at a time. That should not be, right? Darekasan, oshiete kudasai, how can I have all of them on display at the same time?? Unfortunately the shop banners work very differently from the user banners, the only way we can have them showing is applying a user rank, while the other banners you can select in your profile are your user groups, if we were to create a group for each of the banners it'd be madness (there is however a group in the shop, gear second, you can for example have that one active together with a normal banner, if that makes sense) Sorry, I wish I could change how it works, but I'd have to do some serious re-working of the forum software and I don't really have enough time for that :(

When you go back to that thread, in the full editor, click on “load draft” and it will show you any drafts that you have saved. They are also found under the User Control Panel>Manage Drats I hope that this helps!

I'm a bit curious about one thing. I hope someone can shed some light on it O.O After joining the forum, I could only rate a post +1. But from time to time, I saw that others could rate +2. I didn't see any option other than +1, though. Then a couple of days ago, I even saw a +5 rating! Just today, I noticed that I can also rate a post between +1-+5. Is this some sort of update, or did I unlock a new level of membership? :
