- I'm going to have to agree with Christina Choi regarding Vivi. I'm totally against her joining the crew. I don't dislike her, but she's not my favorite either. And I don't really want anymore new members, 10 is already enough.
- Among the Straw Hats, Sanji and Nami are my least favorite.
- I know Sanji's love for women is a running gag, but when it's shown too many times it sort of annoys me.
- Punk Hazard and WCI might be my least favorite arcs.
I hate it when people think of one piece as just a mainstream anime and hate on it(without giving it a try).
Most people who hate One Piece usually didn't try to get past the first few episodes, and are greatly influenced by the animation and the very peculiar concept. I was like that too lol XD but I gave it a try and became a worshipper ever since. I can say for sure that One Piece, while it does have its flaws, is one of the most well written manga and I can count with my fingers just how many mangas are written well. And I'm saying this as a writer myself.
> Of all the Straw Hats, Zoro has had the flattest character arc. His best character moments were during the crew conflict in Water 7, but considering his prominence in the story and the fact he's still relatively young, his character really hasn't been challenged at all since the timeskip, and was only really challenged 3 times before it (Baratie, Water 7, Thriller Bark).
I sort of agree with this T__T. I mean he's badass and I love him, but having Pica as an opponent wasn't enough XD I'm fervently hoping Zoro will get to shine in Wano. He has to.
> Speaking of the anime, I think the biggest detriment to its quality is the weekly format. Had One Piece followed a similar schedule to a show like, say, My Hero Academia (which is currently releasing one season every year), I think One Piece would be more accessible to more "casual" fans who don't want to have to watch 930 episodes of anime to catch up, and the adaptation would be significantly better.
Looks like we're thinking the same thing. I've always wondered before what it'd be like if One Piece was released season by season. It doesn't have to be only one season per year but with a little gap at least. Just like you said, some people don't watch One Piece because they're taken aback by the amount of episodes. Also, seasonal release actually brings more anticipation, so it helps a bit. However, I also think they didn't do this because One Piece is just too long and it would probably take a century to finish XD
