Who is your favourite Dr. STONE character/s, and why? Tell us in this thread!

1. Senku (obviously XD) The fact that he's brilliant is one thing, but his personality is the best. After so many years of watching anime/reading mangas I get bored easily when I keep seeing the same thing over and over again. I lost interest in typical shonen tropes and upright heroes. Senku is a breath of fresh air. Genius (but weak XD), sarcastic (and good looking too...XD), playful and cunning (but is still kind and cares about his friends). I worship him. What else is there to say? XD 2. Gen Someone who appears to be manipulative (like scientist like mentalist) and shallow, but is actually a cinnamon roll who's loyal to Senku (and even prepared a birthday party T__T). Behind that facade is a nice guy who can't seem to hurt others. There are other characters that I like, Byakuya, Tsukasa, Kaseki, Chrome, etc etc, but the top two would be Senku and Gen.

Senku. He is the best character in this story because he is the last hope for humanity to evolve again. I also like those 2 blondies there but unfortunatelly i finished this anime a long time ago and i don't remember their names.

Can I just say everyone? I don't think there's a character I don't like/don't think fills their "role" in the series very well. If I had to pick my absolute favorites: Byakuya, Kohaku, and Gen. The Byakuya love is definitely mostly from the BOCHI side story that focuses on him/the astronauts in the ISS. He is the perfect father figure for Senku and it's great to see how much they love and trust in each other despite being separated by thousands of years. Senku seems a little too "perfect", so Byakuya is the nice balance of still being human and struggling but working his way to the top. Kohaku is kinda easy since I have a soft spot for strong, independent women. She's willing to sacrifice everything for what she cares about (initially only Ruri). Plus, she's just bad***. I really like how her initial sheltered/centralized circle of trust, she's one of the unifying characters that keeps the entire group together. Gen is purely for his personality. It's over the top, but only when necessary, which all probably calculated anyway. Even though he says he's only in it for himself, he does care and probably cares a lot more than he wants to admit. Probably the most interesting character in the series so far. Like, I would want to see the sort of work he was doing before the petrification happened.

Senku, Gen and Byakuya from boys, Kohaku from girls Senku has a heart in right place, is a walking computer in matter of knowledge and math, has even a clock function I suppose and the funny scenes are always the best, when he's part of them, he's so cheeky and calculative, he's a char' that is hard to hate :) Gen is a two face, at first I couldn't decide, what to think of him, but he slowly grew on me. He's mysterious, smart, often bringing up interesting ideas, the design of his character is original and that evil face sometimes, well, he can be scary if he wants, admirable. He's one of my fav' characters, who's undergone change of character during series - if evil guys start to do good for change, it's nearly automatic like for me wahah.. I can't trust in his maliciousness anymore, hopefully it stays like that Byakuya is such a sweatie, always so optimistic, cheerful, yet hardworking and dependable, how it should be for a father figure. I was very touched by his actions and presents made for Senku and following generations. Really, such a strong figure. Kohaku is a strong willed person, loayal to her believs, caring when necessary and really a cool fighter. She can decide on her own, what she wants to do or who to believe or follow, I think she has some potential being a fighting commander in the future for the tribe. Being bashful is rare for her, but it's worth it, when this side of her is actually shown

I have no idea how he's able to do all these other calculations and intense analysis at the exact same time. Ooh, nice, that's always the best about manga, being more detailed and being further in the plot, will look into it, but can't promise to read it fast very much, I always prefered anime adaptations for quicker pace in the storytelling, sountracks and nice dynamics of movemets and such. How many ppl here actually read manga Dr. Stone? It would be awesome to have its own thread, but probably lonely, if there is so little of readers :(

It would be awesome to have its own thread, but probably lonely, if there is so little of readers :( Well, it would take even longer for it to get animated (hopefully it does!), so you could go at whatever pace works best for you. Most of the Dr. Stone fans are anime only (close to a dozen, but 5-6 active people). The manga is half of that, so the discussions are much shorter. Gotta get more people to join in on the series!

Gen is probably my favourite character in the series. He's very much "chaotic good" in the sense that he's more than comfortable with coming across as someone who's entirely self interested and will turn on you at the drop of a hat, but he's also clearly a good dude. The mentalist "ability" is fascinating to me too - for something that seems like it could be very hit-or-miss, Gen manages to get it spot on every time. A very valuable asset. Some of my other favourites are Byakuya (FINALLY an anime dad we can trust), Senku (obviously) and Suika. Oh, and Taiju never fails to make me laugh.

Senku: He appeals to the science nerd, Machiavellian side of me and is a great protagonist. The way he plots things out and macgyver’s solutions whilst manipulating people’s emotions for the good is beautiful. Tsukasa: No matter what else is said, his being in touch with nature and wanting to preserve the planet from the ruling brutality and autocracy, is something with which I agree. His methods may be harsh but sometimes you’re driven too far when you have a good, peaceful and just dream. There are others but these two will forever be my favorites. :
