I started reading it shortly after joining OPF, got a couple hundred chapters in I think and then got distracted and never got back to it. I’ll likely get back to it after the anime season ends, or that was my plan. I figured I’d go ahead and watch then once my appetite was whetted, I’d return to reading. That’s something pretty interesting and pretty plausible for a character analysis.

Well, as someone who's been reading the webtoon from the start, I would suggest you to read the webtoon. I've heard that the anime did skip a few things to fasten the pace. But you can always give the anime a try. I might try to watch it too later on. This webtoon is definitely one of the best.

I guess I'll try that before the anime. The anime adaption of Noblesse was soooooo bad I am still furious. I do hope they did not mess up this adaption as well. if you’re going to do both and haven’t done either yet, I always say do the visual before the written so that you can enjoy them both without being disappointed. It’s like reading a book and watching a movie. The book is always going to be better. So if you watch the movie first, you can enjoy it for what it is, then read the book and still enjoy it because it’s better. But if you do it in the reverse order, you’ll be disappointed in the movie since it can never be better than the book.

Well... I honestly don’t know how I feel about it. Like it says it’s the story of their beginning and their ending and it is just that. It gives you the feeling that more is to come and it’s an ending for sure. It ends in a good place but at the same time—you’re left with so many questions. It’s like all you want is another season. I’m glad that they give you the full background on Rachel and her motives or whatever before the end of the season but even still I just want more. Like what’s going to happen to Bam. In theory that guy at the end is him, right? Will they ever see each other again? Khun is clearly not fooled by Rachel but is still going to help her? Just so much ugh.

Episode One: I thought it was time for something new. So I started this one. I got a glimpse of it on Facebook a whole lot of times. So I thought, why not? Why not see what a Crunchyroll exclusive looks like since I pay 5 bucks a month for it. I have to say the premise it simple of inviting in a way. Everyone can understand it, but this show holds no punches. Where as some shows take time to introduce the world to you, this show does not do that at all. Rachel & Bam are the two people where everything build around. Rachel really wants to see the stars since they don’t see that. The world that they live is in a kind of bleak. I can see why she wants to change it, but leaving him behind is a bit cruel and selfish. Then you have Bam who just really wants to be by her side. Since she seems to be the only person he knows and she found him after he tried to get out of something. Just the little clips serve as the foundation for his motivation and dedication to eventually climb the tower. Works for me, I don’t mind a show where things move a little bit quicker than usual. It’s a nice change of pace. The tower itself doesn’t have a look from the outside, so I don’t know how it is supposed to look, but Headon, who’s the caretaker of it certainly has an interesting design. It seems like this show really has no boundaries on what it’s characters can look like and it opens up the possibilities for where this show can go. I found the whole test to be interesting and well done. Even if they don’t spend a lot of time building it all up, it still worked. The princess that they had was quite fun to have around and his new Sword/Women will be of quite good use. All in all this show does set up something interesting to look at. I don’t mind Bam as a character yet, but I do need some more explanation to understand his reasoning and to understand the world better as a whole. Hopefully they will give that in the upcoming episodes. Episode two is going to be fun to watch since the next test has already started. 400 people need to be cut down by half. Let’s see how that goes down.

Episode Two: So continuing from Episode one we are in the middle of the battle of the 400 people who need to be cut down to 200. It’s an interesting show to say the least at this moment. Have to say that I am intrigued by the premise and the execution up to this point. Even though we saw some good fights and some action in the meantime. The show is driven at this moment by the conversations and storytelling that comes with it. Which is always the best thing to have. Bam is just an innocent character who feels obligated to save Rachel or go after her. It’s how you want to put it I guess. His conversations with Rak & Khun is really what drove the episode, but mostly his conversation with the ranker who’s name I forgot. It was instrumental to learn more about this world and learn more about who he is and what is as an irregular. I loved the test to be quite fair. It’s simple and you don’t have to resort to killing. Which is why I love Khun’s method way more. His philosophy is easy to get behind, but he seems to know more than he is letting on and I feel like the only reason he is with Bam now is because of the power he’s wielding. I wonder how this will continue. Think I am not going to take that much time watching this, but who knows. Might be fun.

Episode Three: So watching this is actually really easy to do. Got to admit that once I keep watching I usually don’t stop that easy. Bam really doesn’t let anything stop him so far, but the way the show combines humour and serious moments really feels very natural. The way of animation also helps with that in my opinion. It feels light, but heavy when it needs to be. Bam keeps mentioning Rachel, but this episode dove more into the past of Khun. Seems like he’s had it rough in this world. Not knowing more about the world, but Bam did mention that he and Rachel are the only ones from a different world. Does he mean a world outside of the tower or like a completely different world in and of itself. I mean, I would imagine he means the same world but outside of the tower where apparently everyone lives. There’s no sky there, but we do not know how and Shinsu is the source of the power there. We’ve learned quite a couple things from this episode. The testing that they started with was quite easy, yet very hard. If you think about it too much that is. Luckily they have Rag who really doesn’t like to think to hardly about these things. Which is a good thing, because otherwise they would’ve lost. Khun really is handling everything very hard, but you can see why that is. There are many strong individuals in those groups and with this bonus test that’s going to come out. I feel like there’s going to be some interesting fights coming. Let’s see what it is going to be.

Episode Four: For now I feel like this show is going to show us more and more the more I keep watching. Stupid pacing make it so I want to watch the next episode. As expected there were some great fight scenes in this episode. Anaak is probably one of the strongest fighters in the group right now. She took them out with ease and watching her to do was very cool. She’s a good one and we need to keep eyes on her. Something that we should also keep our eyes on is those Rankers. I feel like they might become more important to the story as they climb higher and higher. It’s not much where I base this on, but there needs to be a reason why one of the climbers can use Shinsu right? I mean he stated that it was something that you feel on top of the tower. Of from floor 30 or something? Getting to know more about Anaak was actually kind of nice. Now we know that her sword comes from the same family as the one that Bam is holding right now. The bet stands so it might be that Bam has two swords when this whole thing is done. I wonder how they will do that.

Episode Five: SO IT WAS RACHEL AFTER ALL?! Well damn girl why are you being so harsh to Bam for?! It makes literally no sense at all to me at this point. I will be damned if there’s no good explanation for her behaviour at this stage of the game. Really have to see if there’s going to be one. Nonetheless the episode did tell us a bit more about what everyone powers really are. Khun does have a magic briefcase and since there are no limits in the world apparently it is one big printer, but can also take blows from swords so there is more to that and Rak just has more power than I thought in the beginning. Blowing people away with his spear was incredible. You can say a lot about the art style, but it makes the fights look beautiful and somewhat poetic in a way. The episode did make some room to also further the plot. The thing with this show for me is that it is very bleak and there’s so much room to be filled and so much questions to be answered that I just want to keep watching. I want Bam to find Rachel and I want her to answer why she just left and why not take Bam with her. Something interesting happened with Bam at the ending when he transformed into the energy called Shinsu and damaged someone’s eye. Apparently that doesn’t just happen to anyone.

Episode Six: Alright, so we really need some more context about the way that the mind of Rachel works. I mean we’ve gone through the middle of the show now and she’s really irritating me the way that she operates. Let’s dive into it. First of all making Khun not tell Bam anything about it seems to be for all the wrong reasons. Khun even points this out and really he does have his moments in this show even though he joined Bam for the wrong reasons in my opinion. Then there’s Rachel, why does she even do this and why not just be honest with Bam. She’s telling Khun everything about why this is so important for him. He’s all alone and she abandoned him. She’s even saying that, but why?! You could see it coming, but of course Bam is going to be the Shinsu user of his group. He finally made his contract and is now training to become a better fighter. All in the faint of reaching Rachel who is right there. But all in all he’s ready to get people to find him interesting. He’s making friends and Rachel is having nightmares about Bam leaving her behind for other people. I am not sure why she is getting those, because she is the one who left him and he’s here for her!! Come on girl… Now that the show is at the middle point I wonder what is going to happen? I mean there are some interesting side story’s happening as well. I can understand why Anaak is really mad at the people who killed her father, but then again I don’t think Endorsi has anything to do with that, does she? So why not just go after her mother? Don’t punish the innocent.

Episode Seven: I have to say know that we crossed the halfway mark, this series does give me a bump about how much it is building to how much it will actually deliver and finish. I am not sure if there is going to be a second season or not. The world is certainly interesting enough for that, but we'll see how it goes. Didn't even reach the ending yet, so we might not even need a second season. So we got some time to reflect with Endorse & Anaak. They've been fighting at the end of the last episode. I get the reasoning the Anaak has to do this. At the end I thought that she was the one who was in the wrong, but now that they explained the rules I get it more. So yeah, that's some fucked up shit. So they end up both falling off the course and have to spend some time in recovery. This was kind off a laid back episode for the rest of it. Time for some conversations and getting more friends with Bam showing just how much of a nice guy he really is. They've got more and more people on their side and it looks like a cool group to be honest with you all. Thinking about the conversations, the most interesting is the one that Endorsi had with Rachel. Coming from the same team, she seems to know more about Rachel than meets the eye. I'm wondering if she might be a Princess of Jahad as well? Maybe also a kid from one like Anaak is. I am not sure, but something is not right about her. I am excited to keep watching this show. I am really in awe of the world in some way, even though there is so much I don't understand about it.

Episode Eight: On with some more action now as we have a very strange way of playing tag. I have to say that you would think that this show would have something more grand up their sleeve, you know? I mean watching group A and there success got me thinking that we still don't have the rules on what can or cannot be done in this world. I would love to coherse on that more, but I feel like everyone knows what I mean by that. It's about the world and it's build. Usually people will tell you what is and isn't possible in a series. They don't do that here. What that does is keep it open and your mind begins to wonder with the little pieces of information you have. That's something very cool, because you can let your imagination run wild with it. Khun had the most important role in this entire episode. It was nice to see him shine. I still do not get the whole thing that they had planned, but apparently it is something that they came up with together. It is cool to see him be so protective when he was so hesitant of it at first, but he seems to understand what they can mean for him in the long run. Which is what everyone does. I wonder how this is going to go in the next episode. I mean, it probably won't be easy anyway. Regarding Khun and his little sceem too. Hoh is watching and mad about not being able to become as strong as he needs to be. Knowing he would fail the test if he took it. He's going to play some role, I know it.

Episode Nine: Take me talking about how nothing really happens in this series and you can freaking scratch that because this Episode had a lot of stuff happening in it. First off all, it’s like we were watching an Episode of the Sopranos with how many betrayals and backstabbing there was done by multiple people. Group A was more coherent in their ascending to victory, but this team completely fell apart. After everything that happened between Endorsi & Anaak, you would think that they wouldn’t co-exist but yeah I guess they do. I think in a way this was all done to make it that much easier to accept that more people are going to bite the dust in the climbing of the tower. They’ve been hinting at it throughout the show, so you know there’s that. But I guess seeing Rachel getting stabbed by Hoh is a bit much. We need her to stay alive, because I need answer. Also, I thought that the reunion so to say between her and Bam would come much later. Even though Bam did know that Michelle was Rachel. There are a lot of questions here. So few answers. That being said, I did feel for Bam here. He finally got to be close to her again and she got stabbed by Hoh. Who was the letter from? I mean, only a few people knew that connection between Rachel & Bam. Khun & Endorsi. Nobody has admitted to sending the letter yet, so I will not draw my conclusions. I wonder how they will pick it up from here.

Episode Ten: This was a very easy episode too watch. Sucks for Rachel to not be able to walk anymore, but in a way this was because of what she did in the first place. Rak is now very small. I have to say that he is adorable at this moment. There really isn’t a way of not finding him cute at this point. I don’t see how you can’t think that. Rachel’s way of thinking shed a small light on why she went away. I can understand being desperate, but her just leaving will never go over well with me. For now, I hope she really understands what she did to Bam. You do notice with him that nobody ever taught him that he can actually be mad at someone. He just accepts everything. I have to say that the other small subplot has also some intrigue to it now. Someone is actually trying to get back those swords. Probably because they aren’t in the hands of people who should have them I guess. The director of the tests is also a bitch for letting them just do whatever they want. Love seeing the continuity of friendship between the group. Love seeing them line up with Bam to find a way to let Rachel go to the top as well. I wonder how round 2 will go.

Episode Eleven & Twelve: I decided to talk about these episodes together since it was a two parter. Seemed logical in my mind. So, this whole episode was about the final test that they all needed to do to make sure that Bam & Rachel could also climb the tower. I don’t even want to talk about that so much. There were people showing up that we’ve never seen before. Like with Khun, that guy looked so much like him that it could be his brother. Did he copy himself from his briefcase or? That being said of course something had to go wrong with this. Things looked to be going way too smoothly. Yeah, a lot happened in this episode but only one freaking thing stuck to me. And that is what freaking Rachel did at the ending of it. Can we talk about that? What in the actual fuck just happened here? What in the world is going on with her? She’s really aggravating me right now. Can someone just please give her a good punch? Bam is literally doing it all for you and you do this to him? Jeez…My jaw dropped when she did this. Maybe I should’ve seen this coming, but I had good hopes okay…
