Unpredictable Game Mechanics in this context, are defined as elements which go beyond a reasonable measure of expectation for a player to have. There is nothing wrong in using these mechanics in your game as long as you inform all the players that your game has unpredictable mechanics in your sign-ups thread. It is not important that you list the unpredictable mechanics that you have used in your game. A simple message "My game contains unpredictable mechanics" is enough. It is considered bad form to host a game with unpredictable mechanics without informing the players beforehand. This might lead to players complaining in the post-game and you might get a hosting strike.
We also need to consider that hosts can balance unpredictable mechanics and create enjoyable games with twists to spice up the game.
Why Unpredictable Game Mechanics? It should be Bastard Mechanics.
Bastard Games were rebranded as "Unpredictable Game Mechanics". This was done to remove the stigma associated with the host who uses these elements. The implications of this change is that a host can use some bastard elements but his game will not be called bad because of it. There is a safeguard measure (Declare the game unpredictable at the sign-ups) to ensure that players can decide for themselves if they want to play the game or not. In the old system, a Bastard game automatically meant a terrible game. With the rebranding, this is no longer the case.

Game Mechanics or roles which restrict players from posting in the game. Roles included here are Silencer, Post Restriction.
Game Mechanics or roles which restrict players from voting in the game. Roles included here are Voteless.
False role- Essentially states "Your role PM is a lie".
Factions having the ability to recruit players from Informed minority Anti-Town factions like Cults and Mafias.
Judas- An alignment-changing role that acts as a sort of super-traitor.
Saulus- An alignment-changing role that is very difficult to implement soundly.
Suicidal- A purely negative modifier that is guaranteed to gimp its faction.
Usurper- Undermines the team aspect of Mafia factions.
Any roles having the ability to spy or access private chats of informed minority anti-town factions (Namely chats of Mafia and Cults).
Game Mechanics or roles which can revive dead players.
Direct Influence in the game by game hosts. One example being hosts playing the game they are hosting.
Un-divulged non-randomness in player role and alignment generation.
Any game mechanics which go against the set rules of a mafia game.
