This is accurate per real world recovery from being knocked out.
Right! I mentioned it mostly because the previous times Luffy was knocked out, he recovered waaay slower (with a face like that, where the pupils weren’t visible anymore. Recent example: getting knocked down by Kaidou took him quite some time to recover (now, I do realize Kaidou’s hit is way stronger than Apoo’s, but still)).
Maybe I’m looking too much into it, but it just felt a little off — like Apoo’s hits do cause damage, but also don’t inflict lasting damage. It would make sense, if you take the shock effect of his attacks into account. People seem to get hit hard by his sound wave attacks; they get shocked and knocked down. However, once that sound isn’t there anymore, the shock subsides and people will be able to recover. Little bit of speculation there, but it’s just what it seemed like to me!
Oh no, all of this is exactly on point! It would be way too overpowered if Apoo could deliver King Kong Gun level attacks from a safe range. The range comes with a weakening to be fair. I hope Apoo isn't like Cracker where his body is physically weak and he only relies on the fruit ability. We haven't seen many long-limb fighters, but excluding the weaklings that captured Brook, everyone else was high ranking for physical capabilities. So I would assume Apoo can deliver stronger attacks on his own. So what I have in mind is that he uses the sound waves to further increase his damage from a haki punch/kick/etc.
