If the control team decides, they can move the topic somewhere else. So, I was watching a youtube video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5s1lMwlEpzw and it really had me thinking about it. Do you think sex ed needs to be added to school? Why? Why not? Would it be helpful or not?

Wait it’s not in schools? What year are we in? I’m pretty sure even in the state of Georgia over 20 years ago (where they still taught the US Civil War as “The War of a Northern Aggression”), I took sex education courses. Then again, one of my idols was fired/forced to resign (I forget which) as Surgeon General for stating that masturbation should be included in sex education courses, so it’s still a work in progress it seems.

We have got some sex Ed in the lats year of primary school (so here at 11-12 years old) and in middle school as wel (probably around 14-15). The first time was gibberish, we as children laughed silently with the pictures of boobs and penisses. So the lesson in middle school was more fitting. Since sex has become more a part of society (even if others try to deny that, half naked advertisement, movie scenes and just the connection with everyone o. The internet) it is crucial to learn about it early. What the dangers are but also what's fun about it. The latter seems to be missing tho because it might be embarrassing to talk about. So that the lesson and the experience the kids will go through is balanced, wellthought about and fun. Since that's what sex should be. Fun.

I guess it's different in other countries then? Because we already have it in school here. It's not its own subject but it's part of biology classes. It's definitely needed.

Definitely needed, and you'd be surprised how many countries don't teach that in school. Italy for one, doesn't.

So long as it doesn't have practical demonstrations, I don't see why it shouldn't be taught. Might avoid a bunch of heartache.

Biology includes sex ed, and some of the teachers would sometimes make an effort to properly explain what students should or should not do.

Judgement

I agree with everyone above. It's an important, and also normal part of life. Not only should it be taught because of health reasons and population control reasons, but people should also be educated about the enjoyable parts of it. Not that that should be taught practically, but people can be informed through other ways and still learn about the pleasure of sexual acts. Also, sexuality should be treated more objectively, without personal agendas or without setting some kind of norm. We're not there yet, even in The Netherlands (a country that's really open about sex and sexuality (and mostly everything, lol)), but I think we should strive for this eventually. It needs time, though. :
