I do not read the wiki that mich. I prefer asking questions so that there can be discussion.
I only discuss after I do my own research in the manga/anime because I don’t want to waste others’ time and I’ve always relied on my own intellect. I don’t think it’s the job of others to give me information that I can find out for myself. I’ve always been that way since I was little. Even in school I didn’t let the teachers spoon feed me information. I process and question what I receive so that I can make the knowledge my own. Discussion of a good caliber can only truly occur once you’ve got a starting point or base of knowledge, IMO. The same is true of understanding and making knowledge your own. Again, these are just my perspectives. Everyone has their own approach. I just use it so that I can find the chapters to read myself and watch the anime myself so that I can see it myself. I’m not trusting what’s written there in the explanation so much as the footnotes that tell me how they find the source materials.
It is up to each person to decide what they click, what they read, and what they take the time to respond to. If someone wants to help because they want to help, there shouldn't be any feelings of wasting time. But like you said, to each their own.
