Quick question: is the manga different from the anime? I know they started around the same time, but it seemed like the manga releases couldn't keep up with the weekly anime airings. Worth reading?

From what I remember from the anime (it's been a while since it was finished) the manga skips two sagas (Golden Frieza Saga and Copy-Vegeta Saga) although it hasn't stopped publishing yet, which means that after the ending of Universe Survival Saga (the one with the tournament of all the universes) we have a new saga that has not been adapted into the anime. I think its name is Galactic Patrol Prisoner Saga and it's pretty good so far. The chapters are released monthly and not weekly, so that might be the reason the manga couldn't keep up. The anime has a lot of filler moments so it might be a bit different than the manga, I don't remember very well. Anyway, I think it's worth a read, but if you don't want to read the sagas that have already been adapted, you should read from the latest saga onwards, it's reaching its climax now, so you won't have to wait for long :

I'm glad I looked up the manga arcs first because it reminded me that I read the first part of the Zamasu arc and gave up because I thought it was more of the same with the slow pacing. Now I feel like I'm forgetting what was what, but did the anime have Vegito defeat Zamasu? I feel like the two chibi-Kings were not introduced this way, but I'm just drawing a blank on how the anime went. I'm loving the pacing and it feels a little strange to have legit drama with a Dragon Ball plot. I'm so used to cliche plots with excessive redundancy, so I'm looking forward to starting the Galactic Patrol Prisoner Saga.

Yea, this latest Moro Arc gives me the feeling like this is how the original Bibbidi/Bobbidi/Boo arc should have been. It seems like a nice transition to Goku/Vegeta taking the step to be able to take on god-level opponents. Plus, I'm really liking Goku and Vegeta going down separate paths to their power-ups (finally!). I'm not all the way caught up, but I should be by the time you respond Deathbloke .

Yeah, I agree, Vegeta was always a powerhouse compared to Goku, he only trained physical attributes such as strength and agility in order to fight, while Goku has at least learned the instant transmission. It's nice that Vegeta changed his mind about learning new tricks that don't require physical strength to use and spring from mental strength and focus, such as cloning and gigantification.

Do you think Vegeta will be the one to beat Moro? Goku is already hitting his limit. He could reach the true ultra instinct mode again, but he’s already had a bunch of his energy drained.

Based on the timing, Vegeta is going to be the savior if they follow the normal pattern of last fighter being the winner (Frieza had Kuririn, Piccolo, Vegeta, and then Goku 2x at least). I don’t remember Vegeta getting a legit win so I want to see it happen.

I can't wait to see his new move and I actually liked that he didn't want to use Goku's move and have his own signature one. Android 17&18 weren't expected to stand up to Moro again, but they did and it was great. Let's see if Vegeta will finally have the final say in a fight against a major foe...

My guess would be something that is a magical/paramecia-like technique. The entire planet is full of weaklings (by their own admission), so they have to use special abilities to fight. Since Vegeta spent his entire time training this one technique, it's gotta be something huge (something like Gear Second where it changes everything about how Luffy fights). But this is huge in that we have Goku and Vegeta finally taking separate pathways (or hopefully they stay separate and Goku doesn't train this new skill and Vegeta doesn't train Ultra Instinct).
