Unless Katakuri and Cracker were not fighting, rescuing the Vinsmoke brothers should not be this fast and easy.
Wait...we were just shown a haoushoku coating clash. There was a gap between Kaidou's mouth and Luffy's fist. Unless both are just continuing a normal busoushoku coated attack. I guess we'll see how the anime and the final version ends up.
I can't figure out why Oda is jumping back and forth at trying to portray Kaidou as a likeable baddie and then paint him as the despicable baddie. And worst of all, we didn't even get to see why he wants to destroy the world. Was the mere mention of daddy issues enough to make Oda not want to use it? I doubt a theory video on the interactions between Kaidou and Momo drove enough popularity, but whatever. More incomplete plot development. I guess using popular/big name characters is supposed to legitimize it.
Oh F U Oda...so you are going through the trouble to show us a third CP0 agent. At least this person doesn't have Lucci's build. That would have really pissed me off, but this is almost just as bad since it confirms a third member that was watching Orochi without him knowing it.
Robin having experience of relaxing and concentrating on trying to wait out the water submersion is the only non-filler like aspect of these filler pages. We don't even get confirmation of Orochi dying. Show us the new fruit being created. The cut off head has literally already been used before, so the empty distraction only reminds me of Oda's unwillingness to dirty Hiyori's hands.
Unless Joy Boy is taking over Luffy's body partially, we got a deus ex machina power up of magical extents of haki energy being created (vs. magically taken away from Kaidou => 7+ days of mastery usage of haki and awakenings). But unless the raw has a specific order of word choice, there is zero point to having Kaidou knocked out, awaken to hear one part of Luffy's sentence, and then go back to being unconscious.
Sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo sloppy Oda...You've already confirmed to us that Kaidou has been defeated 19+ times already. Roger is Joy Boy? Whitebeard is Joy Boy?
At least Momo's moment of glory got some panel time, but more confirmation for me that Oda is a mere fraction of the writer I thought he was. The ideas he comes up on his own are extremely short sighted. Kaidou having been defeated/captured stands out since most people DON'T get captured. If all of these are the new examples of Kaidou just using Marine ships as a means of getting food as a broke teenager, then B.S. too. They aren't trying to execute him. They are only trying to take him to Impel Down. So no matter what, there is still B.S. everywhere. The fact that the victory is focusing on Kaidou rather than Luffy directly reflects this to me. If Luffy has this Nika-mode from the start, that explains Kaidou having to exhaust and use up all his energy fighting defensively in 5-15 minutes (Kaidou and Big Mom are standing around for a while in between the phases of fighting). A weak ending that only reflects the belittlement of the "strongest being in the world" being defeated.
Just in case, Law has already displayed cutting something the size of Onigashima already (cutting Cesar's lab). This is one mountain in the massive island of Punk Hazard. Sure we got new powers introduced, but just like foresight kenbunshoku, it just magically disappears/is completely forgotten by the baddies to weaken them.
