Niji and Yonji being captured is definitely better than completely empty/useless cover story page, but I don't see the point if Big Mom gets defeated in Wano Kuni. If Sanji is the one to save them, that would fit the most for the plot, but that probably won't happen due to the time restrictions Oda is putting on the series. I guess we'll see where this goes.

So just like the anime accelerating the rate of Ice Demon freezing people, are we accelerating how fast heat is killing people? Even the weakling fighters are supposed to be much higher than just one douriki, so dehydration isn't that big of a problem since people are shown dealing with much worse. I'm really not liking the fake drama.

And speaking of which, Oda has to do the same thing for Zoro? He's already done the EXACT SAME THING BEFORE (Kuma after the Moria fight). That's how we know things are bad when there is clear rehashing of content. I just hope it is a real grim reaper and not just some illusion. Brook isn't that tall/his arms aren't that long, so even though the face is similar, it should be someone or something else. If it's Brook...even worse in my eyes so hopefully not.

WTF...really?! Kiku wasn't enough of a sacrificial lamb that now even Izo has to be defeated? Even worse, CP0 is being weakened just as much as Yonkou/admirals so it takes an INJURED Izo to lose (vs. direct contradiction of Yonkou execs being easily defeated). I think this is the part of the B.S. that annoys me the most. There has to be a sacrifice/lost since things no longer fully connect, and this is the crap that is just ruining the series. This sort of stuff isn't needed and shouldn't have been needed, but we just keep getting more and more with the series going in this new direction.

So even Kanjurou's dead spirit is being powered up. Yay...more fake drama. Why not just keep Yonkou at their power level rather than weaklings powering up? We had an ABUNDANCE of enemies and Oda STILL couldn't give us climax fights for the entire crew. God damn...that is so pathetic.

Unless Law and Kid have unlimited awakening energy, I am dying to know how Oda explains attacks without haki are actually damaging Big Mom. Her defense is pretty much exactly the same as Kaidou with her "iron balloon" (which is still an inaccurate description by Sanji if I'm remembering correctly). I wasn't going to be fully negative, but even more B.S. with the soul homies just watching Big Mom get attacked. They are fully autonomous so Oda tries to explain it by Hera's hair blocking the view of Law. If fans actually accept this without question then I think I get confirmation of my bias of how stupid people had no idea the depth of complexity and truly only were capable of reacting "OMG ONE PIECE!!!". Ugh...

Niji and Yonji captured in the WCI aftermath… I wonder if they’ll get out? We’ll see how long the Germa side story goes on for. With half the crew’s big players in Wano, they could be able to save them…

Very curious about this Zoro development. The Grim Reaper has been alluded to, but I don’t know the message it sends for his EoS battles if he’s on the verge of death after fighting King, especially if Mihawk is as strong as people make him out to be. I’d say there’s a good chance it’s a hallucination, and I’m hoping it is because I don’t want any resurrection in One Piece.

That Kroom attack from Law looks BRUTAL. Nothing you can do about it, really. And I like the quote from Kidd at the end - when you’re overcoming gaps in strength, it’s a war of attrition. And I’d say they’ve done a good job of wearing her down, especially if Big Mom herself is saying she’s tired.

I’m interested to see how the end of her fight is handled, because I think it’ll give a good hint of how close we are to the series wrapping up once we get off Wano.

What a great chapter! Only Large Mother and Kaido left, which they seem to be at their limits now. I'm beyond excited to see how everything plays out now. Wano has been phenomenal and easily one of my favorite arcs in One Piece 😃

I'm really excited to binge read this arc from start to finish - even though we've been in Onigashima for a year and a half, it's been very high pace. The fights have been some of the best we've had all series too, and I'm expecting the two Yonko fights to deliver in a big way.

Deathblokey Luffy has been on the verge of death countless times and he has not seen any Grim Reapers roaming around, maybe it has something to do with Zoro getting a new nickname, "King of Hell".

Yeah this one is very weird to me. I wonder what's going on there? Hopefully Franky gets to him before his soul gets taken…

A very weird moment with the Grim Reaper and Zoro, one that we're not used to seeing in One Piece, I wonder what it means for Zoro and what will happen next. Luffy has been on the verge of death countless times and he has not seen any Grim Reapers roaming around, maybe it has something to do with Zoro getting a new nickname, "King of Hell".

Maybe Oda saw the meme and he wants to put it in the story: Μπορεί να είναι εικόνα κείμενο που λέει "time to go the best was I a good swordsman? GRANA let's go... RIANO Urielarce ???"

Anyway, we're getting closer and closer to the climax!

Marco Polo I might just binge read it as well. Oddly enough, it doesn't feel as though it's already been 3+ years, but probably because there's so much going on, as opposed to the Anime version of the Dressrosa arc.. My goodness, THAT was terrible..

Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed the Dressrosa arc for the most part, but Toei absolutely butchered it with so much filler crap. 14 episodes of Rebecca in the Corrida Coliseum doing the same f*cking maneuver and throughout the entire arc, the countless "flashbacks" of Kyros/Rebecca. I wanted to tear out my hair and eyes.

At least they're doing a somewhat better job with the Wano arc. Sure, it still has it's flaws and filler, but nothing like Dressrosa, I mean, the Rebecca Flashback arc 🤣

Not to mention that Zoro's definitely not in worse shape than his Thriller Bark moment, although it's very close for sure after the side effect of the drug they gave him. I don't think this is actually Death himself but we'll see how this goes.
