So even the cover stories are having empty content...I guess new lows for the series will become a norm.

Similarly, I have no idea why Oda is overlapping a commoner with the actor that inspired Akainu.

I don't know how Kaidou is getting drunk off of such a small barrel, especially considering we see him drinking from bigger containers normally. Kaidou isn't shown sweating like Luffy, so he isn't dehydrated.

Oda doesn't mention or label the first part as a dumb drunk phase, so Kaidou's memory is at least relatively accurate...so now even more B.S. is expanding. It isn't all that hard to remember WHITEBEARD. Sure we had 3D2Y since then, but getting a beatdown in a 1v1 should be hard to forget. This is similarly matched by Kaidou suddenly regaining fast reaction times without any kenbonshoku usage. He can dodge things without paying attention, but he cannot react to an obvious attack later? Pretty much all of Luffy's attacks are obvious since he has to combine Gear Second with Gear Third (and technically also haoushoku coating since most of Luffy's attacks and defenses have the visualization for it [the kick has it on the panel after]).

The one interesting point for me is the person the Gorosei want to eliminate outside of Kaidou and Big Mom. But then again, with all of the B.S. the normal pattern of diversion might not be accurate anymore.

And that's a disappointment...Zunisha is just the most legendary devil fruit? This not only kills the essence of Blackbeard's hype and rise, but it now creates the opportunity to completely delegitimize Luffy's victory. Zunishe BETTER NOT be the one to deliver the winning blow. I forget if they had a male or female voice, but he/she can be the one to defeat Big Mom.

Just in case people forgot: Zunisha tells us that they were forced into the "punishment" of having to walk around endlessly. Some sort of Ancient Kingdom technology would have been much more fun, but it just being the truly strongest fruit ability is a bit lame and also is contradicted by there being multiple super-giant shadows in the Floridian Triangle. Unless that's just re-using the phenomenon of Skypeia. Oda doesn't have the credit to think he will properly connect everything, so this just being more rushed B.S. changes is what I'm going to operate on. And Sanji befriending a second mouse is probably the only positive outcome out of many failures which is the opposite of the normal ratio.

The fight choreography in this chapter is so so good. Really enjoyed it, especially that kick panel. Which looks real familiar…

No idea about any of this Gorosei/Zunesha stuff, but it’s a very cool way to tie everything together. It reminds me of Merry showing up at Enies Lobby for some reason.

Man, Zunisha is very dangerous to be there, I'm really curious about what he/it is going to do. Maybe destroy the Government fleet? Or even Onigashima? I'm not sure about the size difference with that though.

I think the easy option would be for it to just slap all the Government ships away, but I feel like we're about to get something that's completely out of the realm of prediction.

I wonder how high up Onigahsima is, actually?

Judgement I’m thinking Zunisha’s connection to a devil fruit has to do with Tama’s devil fruit. I think an ancient previous owner of her fruit might have cursed Zunisha to walk around forever. That might just become undone right now, now that Tama has power over that fruit

ripperslo My bet is on Kibi Kibi no Mi . Kinda makes sense, I mean from war perspective, its a huge asset as army builder and like what @Judgement said about Zunisha and Tama being connected via previous owner of fruit. Tama just might send Zunisha free.

Yeah this is the feeling I get too. Tama's fruit can be incredibly dangerous, and is already proving to be given the effect it had on the battle. There's no way Oda goes "here's a Devil Fruit that allows the user to control animals" and then just leaves it without any further explanation.

It kinda makes sense though. If anything, it's weirder that they stopped pursuing her after Enies Lobby. She's the only known person that can read the Poneglyphs, after all.

Hmmm. Really nice fight between Luffy & kaido, idd, really good choreography. I wonder how many chapters it will be till oda gives us G5, couse I still don't see Luffy winning at this rate otherwise.

Gorosei talking about devil fruit makes me wonder,… Do remember (since i've seen this on at least 10 youtube theories) its not zoan elephant DF - Zunesha. I don't really get why so many people still believe in this but oh well. (Oda did confirm zuneshas race btw^^)

I'm also glad that Gorosei aren't in direct connection via den den mushis, and don't know that Robin is still free 😃. CP0 'll probably fail to get her anyway.

anyway amazing chapter,… only downside is … we're getting chapters every 2 weeks, getting worried a bit

I had a thought that somehow Zunisha's "curse" to walk eternally will be lifted by someone in Wano, maybe Tama or Momonosuke, and he will finally sit down and rest right next to Wano, uniting the Minks with the Samurai forever.

ok here’s an interesting video that could explain which Devil Fruit the Gorosei are talking about:

I’m mainly focusing on the latter section of the video here, but the theory is basically that the Gomu Gomu no Mi isn’t ACTUALLY the Gomu Gomu no Mi - it’s a Mythical Zoan of some kind, most likely a “Fire God” or “Sun God” version of the Hito Hito no Mi.

a TL;DR of the evidence for:

The WG were keeping watch over the Fruit - seems odd for a Rubber man, right?
Hyogoro mentions Luffy’s resemblance to a deity (I think it’s called the Myo’o?) when he sees Gear 4th for the first time
The Myo’o has 3 forms, just like Gear 4th
Red Hawk (and all Luffy’s other “red” abilities) aren’t really explained by “rubber” properties
King (Lunarian - a race thought of as “Gods”) is able to control fire, à la Red Hawk

And another little piece I’d like to throw in that isn’t in the theory is when Luffy resists one of the attacks that Kaido/Big Mom throw at him (either Bolo Breath or Prometheus? I can’t remember) and they ask him how he withstood it and he says “Guts” - I think that might be a hint to the fire/sun related abilities that the Fruit secretly possesses when you awaken it.

The theory states that the “rubber” abilities are part of the fruit, but it’s the fire/Myo’o abilities that Luffy now has are early signs of awakening

There’s precedent for “divine” Mythical Zoans thanks to Sengoku, so it’s well within the realm of possibility.

I think that was a lightning attack by Big Mom but I could be mistaken. That's an interesting thought though.
