This episode was a bit like a rollercoaster of emotions for me.
I really liked Kakahashi killing of the virus with his white arrow, that was such a good idea. Even though it also feels like that could have gone wrong because the virus isn't an actual person lol.
But then we had the same old thing again that Kakahashi couldn't kill the poison girl. I understand why he doesn't want to kill people and his speech at the end about not wanting to lose his chance at happiness by killing someone was quite impressive. But still, Saki almost died (and Hajime actually died) because he couldn't make a choice and millions of more people could have died in the future because he's too afraid to kill anyone.
I'm starting to think that Kakahashi killing someone would be like Sanji hitting a woman, I wonder what is more likely to happen 🤣
Then there's Hajime, to me he really redeemed himself as a character. At first I thought of him as this ugly, creepy guy who was easily manipulated by Metropoliman. But there's much more to this character than that. He had a really shitty past and never received love from anyone because of his looks so it's not surprising to grow up into someone who's socially awkward and "hates" love. Then later he starts to idolise Metropoliman which brings him even further on the wrong path. But after meeting Saki he fell in love and that actually completely changes the character and shows us a glimpse of how he could have been like if he didn't have such a shitty past. I know that part of it was because of the red arrow but I thought it was really noble when he sacrificed himself for Saki while Takahashi couldn't do anything.
I mean, it was expected that he'd die at some point but it's still a shame because I would have liked to see how the characters would have developed further and also after the effect of the red arrow ends. Even if he's a bit hard to look at xD And I guess I could also say that at least he died happy.
And then there's Metropoliman. In this episode he shows once again that he's scum who doesn't care about anyone and thinks lowly of basically everyone that's been in the show so far, enemies and his own people as well. Well, the people he's getting on his side are just pawns to him. That kid made the right choice running away, especially after the other two died. Now it's just Kakahashi vs Metropoliman and I'm curious about how that will end.
Oh also, Kakahashi saying that he plans on turning Metropoliman in to the police and letting authorities deal with him was probably the dumbest thing I've heard in this show so far ._. What could they do about someone who can just shoot them with red and white arrows and has wings? Unless there's a way to take all that away without killing him I don't see that plan working out.
