Synopsis: The story takes place "just a little bit in the future," where rumors of strange occurrences called "hologram ghosts" are appearing online.

Hiro is able to see Digimon after activating a "Digivice" his father left him. Together with the Digimon Gammamon, they investigate the unusual phenomena happening around them in their everyday lives, and slowly step foot into the world of Digimon.

Sorry guys, but I'm quite excited to see a whole new Digimon Anime appear on screen. I am watching Digimon Adventure 2020 right now. I have been waiting to post this thread and I will continue to review this series right here. I will of course update the information in the first post once it becomes available. Is anyone else going to watch this?

Episode One: I was going into this with a lot of hope that it was going to be a lot better written than Digimon Adventure: 2020 was. I didn't mind watching it, which was purely because of them leeching on my happy memories from watching Digimon when I was a kid. But I do have a couple of big remarks towards them for not really giving us what we usually get with a Digimon story. However, they have been getting a lot of things right here with the first episode. This is something for children, but I thought it was pretty gruesome in the first episode. This was to introduce us to whatever world we are in right now. They've got 7G people, so if that doesn't make you afraid, then what happens in the episode will. In the first couple of minutes they established the world. Lots of digital stuff, how can it be? But also a lot of holograms already. Once seeing the Sewn-Lip Man appear it got me a little bit off, but seeing him attacking a girl and stealing her time...That was brutal! Gotta be honest, it was kind of creepy, especially putting myself in the shoes of someone younger, I would think this is creepy if I was target audience. Very well done. Then the Main Character got introduced to us. Hiro is his name, his last name is very long. So I'm not going to try and spell that out every single time. I thought he was kind of a curious kid. They also already have a comedic character, who reminds me of Joe from the original, but he's going to be a Digidestined as well. His dad just up and dissappears, but for some reason Hiro isn't really faced by this. I hope this gets explored later on. Meeting the digimon was a very cute thing. Gammamon is a very cute digimon, who can be very powerful and it seems like Hiro's dad is going to be the one who brings information to them as time passes. The first fight between Gammamon & Clockmon was very nicely done. The bond between Hiro & Gammamon is going to be very cool to see develop. Seeing as how much power he gives him also gives him new attacks. Kind off like the Pokémon mechanism. I wonder how they will get the other Digidestined involved. I'm always for a much smaller cast, so I'm happy that it seems to be the case with this one. The first episode was very good, hopefully they can keep it up.

Episode Two: Forgot to write a review for this episode. The only thing I can really remember is that the whole digivolving concept was tame in Animation. Would've loved to see more. Episode Three: Seems like it's time for the group to meet one another. Or at least have some focus on of the other Digidestined this show has. Ruli is her name and she has been seen throughout the first two episodes as someone who went into investigating something like this on her own. She's having some kind of origin story as to the partnership between her and her Digimon. As the kid from the first two episodes already saw her walking around with it at the end of Episode 2 Okay into the episode this proved not to be the case. She just can't see the Digimon. That's something that didn't pop into my head. I just didn't think it through. That's totally on me. I thought the whole story was kind of easy, but told an effective little story about Ruli & Angoroman coming together. Seems like he is already at the Champion level. I mean, he's big and within Digimon rules that usually means something like that.

Episode Four: It's going to be more and more interesting as this show goes on. It's a very easy story to get on board on. For now they are kind off Villain of the Week. I wonder when that is going to change to a format with one central Villain or story thread. I did love seeing Pumpkinmon who made a great appearence in Digimon Adventure and had a brief but memorable run. They didn't do a whole lot in this episode, but the fact that they've been throwing little facts and exploits about the Digital World does keep the ball rolling and not making us forget how this all started. And why this is happening. Seems like the next episode will finally introduce the Final Digidestined. I like that they took their time with introducing everyone. Gives time for us to get to know them one by one instead off all in one go.

Episode Five: It's an interesting turn of events here as the third and final DigiDestined meets his partner Jellymon in this episode. I liked it for more than one reason. First off all there is the element of a Digimon Partner who isn't there just to support Koyohorishi, but she is also somewhat of an antagonist for him. Although they work something out in the end. you can notice that things aren't all that good yet and it will something that will develop as time goes on. I love it because it's not something that usually happens in Digimon. Most of them like one another almost instantly, so it's a nice change of pace. The second reason is how they fought against the Digimon that came to punisu Koyohorishi for something that he did. It was a simple but straight foward plot that revolved around the one thing he holds on too, talismans! I do like the fact that there was no way they were going to beat him in a psychical encounter. Loved that they didn't pull one out and just made someone go Ultimate Level in the fifth Episode of the show. This episode served as a reminder that there are way stronger opponents out there. Even though there hasn't really been a plot established yet, this could be setting something up for in the future.

Episode Six: At the beginning they were singing a song that I recognized, but couldn't place it anywhere. So the first couple of minutes I put the show on hold to figure out which song it was. Apparently it was from "Adventure Colon". Don't know that show or Anime, but the song was really recognizable. I didn't think much of this episode. From the last one this was a little bit of a set back. Sirenmon seemed like an ordinary Digimon until we found out it was an Ultimate. It got me excited, but I just hoped they wouldn't make it too easy. Something like this level shouldn't be easy in any way, shape or form. I feel like they might be building up to something, but I am not sure what that might be. In the end they "defeated" Sirenmon in one of the most kid shows things I have ever seen. I know this is a kids show, I do. But I was hoping there was going to be more to it than this :

Episode Seven: This was a fun little episode. Not much happened in it. I do think that this show needs to have something of a plot, right now it feels like all episodes with not much happening to change the status quo. At least with all the other seasons there was an underlying thread, but not with this one up till now. Also what is happening with Gammamon, we know he's digivolving, but now he suddenly turned into a whole new one. They aren't explaining the level he is on, but I assume he's at the Champion level, but he is holding his own with Ultimate. Lucky for us he's not really defeating them, otherwise I would have flipped something over I feel like. I'm not sure if anyone else is actually watching this, but hey...Let me know

Episode Eight: Once again this was an okay episode, but they aren't really taking this anywhere at this point. I do commend them for the addiction to the theme of the show. And I also have to say I really like the characters and their quirks. Just as with the Digimon. I mean at this point Jellymon has the most chance of becoming a real antagonist for these kids. I mean they don't have any at this time and they really need one. Otherwise, this is just a show with no real direction. Once again they did some fun stuff and having the focus on Ruli more is nice, but not really what I expect or want out of an Digimon show

Episode Nine: Alright, one of the first episodes that kind of gave us some sense of a bigger plot. Always helps to find a professor in the likes of Bokomon. What I did notice was the odd pacing of the episode. Like you go in with Hiro's warped sense of time. Then you have like a part with a whole different Ghost in Bokomon and his knowledge en then they thought like oh yeah we still have the whole theme of the episode so let's cap it off. It did throw me a little bit for loops, not going to lie but in the end I still thought this was the most enjoyable episode. Couple of things to take away from this. Next to that the fact that they brought back a Villain from episode one, which I thought was nice touch. You also have Bokomon planting some seeds with things seemingly being part of something bigger, which I like. Then also that thing with Hiro & Gammamon with that giant Black Thing coming out of him for a second time now. You have all the ingredients to start building something right now. Let's hope they do it.

Episode Ten: So, first thing I have to say was I got huge Naruto Shippuden vibes from this episode. With the antagonist of the episode being Kinkakumon & Ginkakuman. Either people that are writing this haven't seen Naruto or they are huge fans of both characters. They even have the same colour scheme and the same weapen in the huge item that can suck people in when they are called. I don't mind a good villain in a show being a resemblece and I also didn't think they did this a some kind of rip-off. I felt okay about this. Then the episode itself wasn't anything too special. I have to say I'm quite surprised about Jellymon being the second of those three to digivolve with the other one being in the show longer than she has, but I feel like her Digidestined also has more room to grow as a character. Love the reasoning behind the evolution, but my man, you could do more with the actual combat in the show. Especially since that is something that Digimon is known for. I did mind that a bit, one punch and it is over. Give us a good fight please. For now it's still just your typical Villain of the Week show. Which is not really making me excited to be honest...

Episode Eleven: I have to say that this show does some good things, but most of them I am not really into it. Seemingly focussing on Ruli & Angoromon's relationship this time. They keep walking around it and not really discussing it until the ending and then it also turns out to not really be a big deal..Which is quite strange since you would think it would be more than this. The whole Villain thing that they have going on is also weak and no real Villain has been introduced or hinted at, so at this point it's just random episodes with no real meaning behind it.

I was kind off hoping that this would be a growing trend in the series and thus it would become more and more mature. Even maybe having some kind of plot and in my honest opinion, they kind off missed what they could have done with this episode.

There’s some good in this, as in Bokomon’s death is still weighing in heavily on the series, but that also means that there is going to have to be some talks about it. Obviously Gammamon doesn’t know what happened to him anymore and he was just very sad about Bokomon’s demise and now Hiro doesn’t know how to tell him that he is actually gone. Which is understandable, he’s a kid and Gammamon is an even younger kid by comparison, so having to say something like that is very tough.

In my opinion, this episode tied in very well for the most part. With Koemon being sad about granny not being here anymore. But, it was not to be, because people like Granny were actually still alive. I don’t mind it, because it gives a happy ending for Koemon in a way, but it would’ve been better to have him and Granny also go through the same thing as Gammamon, because that would’ve helped him understand in a way.

Seems like the show is going to go back to the ways it was before episode 13. Which is something I do think is a pity.
