Synopsis:
Eccentric and blunt, the walrus Hiroshi Odokawa lives a relatively normal life. He drives a taxi for a living, and there he meets several unique individuals: the jobless Taichi Kabasawa who is dead-set on going viral, the mysterious nurse Miho Shirakawa, the struggling comedic duo "Homo Sapiens," and Dobu, a well-known delinquent.

But Odokawa's simple way of life is about to be turned upside-down. The case of a missing girl the police have been tracking leads back to him, and now both the yakuza and a duo of corrupt cops are on his tail. Set in a strangely familiar city filled with unusual individuals, Odd Taxi is a bizarre story about a humble taxi driver and the mystery of a lost high schooler.

I meant to make this thread previously. I also meant to watch this show last season but things happen lol. I’m almost done with it now but don’t let the art style/animals fool you. This is gritty and really, really good! I think that Galkie and SunnySapphire might enjoy it.

GoldenVenus you might enjoy this one too, actually Wait… so much happened. I can’t keep up. The homosapiens’ routine got messed up in the middle so he started spouting truths. I wonder how that’s going to go over. Odakawa’s past is hella complicated. Everyone figured he had yakuza ties, right? Enough clues were dropped from the guy at the bathhouse? Then the Don himself? And him being adamant about paying back his own debt etc. But the kicker was that eraser coming back at Dobu and then the Daimon brothers being from the same foundation as Odakawa. So much going on. Yoooo… his mom tried to kill them because his dad was a drunken cheat? His synesthesia is brain damage and trauma? Capoeira saves the day again! I’m glad we got to see everyone react to him going on the water. Even happier we see them all in human form in the aftermath… I knew karaage girl was sus!! Odokawa is in danger!! What an ending—oh no!!
