This show is… dark and twisted dressed up as peppy? I don’t know how I feel about it? It might be sending some really messed up images/stereotypes like old school DSM type ones but I can’t tell yet. It’s interesting though! Especially from a psych perspective. Marco Polo might be curious about it. If he can stomach it. This show is twisted. Right off the bat, there’s a weird and off age difference it seems between the main characters. Did they just commit suicide together at the “end” of the story? This MC is relating to the twisted manager a bit too much, I’d say. It takes one to know one, after all. Yup, she warned the blonde boy about a certain kind of woman like she knew intimately and then she revealed her true colours at the end—kowaii.

I decided to watch more but I don’t think I can handle another episode tonight. I need something lighter before bed. Everyone in this show is twisted. I don’t know who we’re supposed to sympathize with or why? Just when I was cringing over the teacher, I started to feel badly for the guy from the first workplace (we all knew it would be him who showed up, right?) and then he’s a pedo too now? I don’t get it. Like they keep showing these teens exposed to trauma and “thus” having these desires. Conversely, the adults have and act on them for baser reasons and are admonished for it. I don’t know about the lines being drawn. The MC spouts off about what constitutes love. About how Shio is choosing her but then she’s shown to have confusion… when the brother appears and sheds doubt on the validity of Shio’s feelings, the crowbar comes into play. Oh my.

So she didn’t attack the brother. Nice self control I guess. But then things got even worse? Shio left the apartment so now a child is on the streets alone. She ended up almost meeting up with her brother but the perv found her instead and almost took her home. Luckily? the buttheads from earlier found him but now Shio’s got traumatic flashbacks because of the beating. Satou is nearby. What’s gonna happen? So Shio is starting to realize that something is wrong but is too smart to speak of it. Satou killed those boys for hurting Shio and would’ve killed her coworker if she knew what he was planning. He now knows about her but he’s got nefarious plans of his own… did he see the bodies or hear of the crimes to know she was involved in that? The teacher guesses that she killed her aunt. The people at work are suspicious too. It’s all going to come crumbling down and she has no clue.

Whoa Satou ended up with a stalker. Both the fact that it was normal and the way she handled it were scary. Makes you feel for her past. Shio is remembering things but having issues with it and doesn’t have good memories of her family. I’m still wondering which one of them killed Shio’s family. I’m thinking Satou killed the mom and replaced her. Or the dad killed the mom? Then Satou killed him? Who knows at this point. But Mitsuboshi is obsessed and talking… things could be spiraling. Wait everything keeps getting more complicated. Now the friend/coworker is attached to Shio’s brother? The sensei wants proof that Satou is a murderer (presumably for blackmail since he’s immoral). And it looks like something happened to the mom but we don’t know what? That flashback was so unclear. I’m scared for Satou’s current plan though. Is she about to show everything and kill her if she can’t take it? Wait, is the teacher gonna kill the friend?! Also that narrative sounds highly plausible, weirdly enough. Shouko and Satou show up and the police are waiting… then there’s the sensei who sent them there and the aunt. Wow. Shouko couldn’t take it so the friendship changed/reverted. So much happened. Oh dear. Satou is tricking Taiyo into helping get rid of the brother and the brother is helping Shouko get over her concerns about Satou. So convoluted. Come to find out that Satou killed the owner of the apartment they live in now to protect Shio. And the deal is done. Looks like the call is being made. Wonder if that’s Taiyo or someone else?

Wow, Taiyo really did convince the brother to go but that was a rough interaction. And Shouko fell for him making things hella difficult for everyone. Now Shio is going to be traumatized and all by her death. Shouko was clearly untrustworthy though. Just saying. Not saying she needed to die but who would believe her? And it was right. She had sent off the picture. So… Shio’s mom got to the point where she abused and abandoned her when Shio was trying to save her psyche? Rough. Shio really is happy with Satou. Twisted trauma bonding. I was legit scared there was going to be a fire in the apartment but I guess the emotional issues were bigger than practical ones. Edit: episode 11 post got eaten somehow when I posted it :

Well that escalated about like I expected in many ways and then went in ways I didn’t expect at all. For as twisted and dark as the show is/was, it had a sweet ending? I guess? I mean there was no good ending to this but yeah… Yeah I don’t know how I feel about this show and I finished it but… it’s definitely thought provoking, even though it’s highly triggering.
