The Identity of the World Government's New Weapon

This will be a really short theory compared to my previous ones, as it is highly speculative (and quite crazy). I just wanted to get it out there for now. I will possibly revisit it in the future if supporting facts are introduced. Okay, so, the cornerstone of this theory is Vegapunk. He has been shown to be a genius scientist who has knowledge on the fields of each of his past assistants / co-researchers, at least. Namely, Caesar's SAD application was based on Vegapunk's research, Judge's cloning technique was based on the research he once conducted with Vegapunk on the lineage factor and Vegapunk has been shown to be an engineer just as skilled, if not more, as Queen in light of innovations such as the blueprints Franky used to make general Franky and the Pacifista project. However, compared to them, we still haven't seen where the accumulation of Vegapunk's knowledge and research has led to...yet. What if Vegapunk's "masterpiece" is a product of combining his knowledge, research and skills in all the aforementioned fields? (possibly not Caesar's) What if Vegapunk has managed to find a way to mass produce enhanced humans like Reiju, Sanji and all the siblings? With the difference being that Vegapunk's method could be used straight away on fully grown men or even clones. On top of being enhanced, they would technically not be humans if Vegapunk also applied the research from the Pacifista project to also make them cyborgs. And on top of making them cyborgs, Vgapunk could have also created blueprints for a mass produced model of armor similar to the Germa's raid suit. This last part is quite interesting. We know Vegapunk has at least thought of building something akin to a raid suit before as he created the blueprints for general Franky. It's not quite the same but the idea of using a shape-memory alloy to build a suit existed since then. But it was not possible back then due to the lack of such an alloy. But what about now? Now there's the wapometal, a shape-memory alloy made by Wapol. Interestingly so, the world government / tenruibito are the ones who sanctioned Wapol and made him the king of an entire kingdom (Black Sakura Kingdom). That could have very well been thanks to a deal for Wapol to provide them with a constant supply of the shape-memory allow that is wapometal. In other words, Vegapunk may have managed to find a method to mass produce SBS (Super Cyborg Soldiers), which I guess would be the equivalent of mass producing the result of a fusion between Captain America and Iron Man's suit. Theoretically, Vegapunk may also have completed his artificial devil fruit research and even add artificial devil fruits to the mix but the SBS is already overpowered enough as it is so let's not push it. I like this theory! I think it's a very reasonable conclusion to come to based on the exposition we've had with MADS, Germa and the outcome of the Reverie. Whatever Vegapunk's project is, it has to be equal in firepower to the Shichibukai. The Pacifista alone aren't enough, since Luffy, Zoro and Sanji could all one-shot them at Return to Sabaody. An army of cyborgs on the level of Sanji's siblings would probably be enough to do that - even though individually they might not be as powerful as a Mihawk or Hancock, their durability, the increased number and the diversity of abilities they could be given is enough to justify getting rid of the Shichibukai. > Theoretically, Vegapunk may also have completed his artificial devil fruit research and even add artificial devil fruits to the mix but the SBS is already overpowered enough as it is so let's not push it. I think the way that he incorporates artificial Devil Fruits wouldn't be by giving the soldiers fruits to eat per se, but applying the DNA modification aspects of fruit abilities directly to the soldiers. Similar to how he gave all the Pacifistas Pika Pika no Mi-like abilities, or how the Vinsmoke siblings all have unique abilities that don't come directly from Devil Fruits.

I actually really like this idea. I'd prefer it if the devil fruit research was applied in the project as well in the spirit of encompassing every research subject we've seen, on which the theory is based on. This is a nice way to do so. The end result kind of reminds me of Sentinels from X-Men, if that's a familiar reference. Basically enhanced cyborgs with mutant abilities which hunt mutants.

Haha...we ended up with the same conclusions for the big picture stuff. My only pushback is that Vegapunk, just like Oda, likes to have original content. So I wouldn't see Vegapunk copying clones or Raid Suits...wait... Actually, this ties into the chapter 1023 discussion, but technically Vegapunk has ALREADY exceeded Queen's level of technology with Pacifistas. The Pacifista Project is taking weak marines (probably one douriki people from remote G-X station/some remote part of the world) and making cyborgs out of them. It is similar to the Iron Man aspect in that most of the Pacifista is machines of Vegapunk level technology with a living person as a core. So even more so then. Oda and Vegapunk would not reuse something that was already directly used as the first new weapon. I'm biased to say Vegapunk is purposefully sandbagging and not producing his true level of advanced technology for the Government because he knows it will be used for mass killings. Some sort of technology was accidentally leaked, and this presumably can be mass produced.

I think Pacifists are just robots based on Kuma's body structure actually, with the only cyborg being Kuma himself. So the raid suit (One Piece Iron Man Project) would technically be something new (on the scale of mass production at least) and have more potential as they'd include living humans. Btw, I answered here cause I expected the answer to be short but I'll respond to the other messages at a later date cause I don't have a computer on hand right now.
