Synopsis:
Severe internet addiction has become an epidemic infecting the nation's youth, ultimately resulting in their extreme dependence on the world wide web. Those who are too far gone are enrolled at Elite Reeducation Academy in order to help them grow into successful adults. Hibiki is one such teenager who awakens in the facility unaware of how he came to be there. He learns from the head instructor that he was knocked out and brought to the school at his mother's behest, concerned with how belligerent her son was becoming as a result of his internet addiction.

Stuck in a place more akin to a prison than an academy, and with no escape from the abuses of the instructors, Hibiki decides to end his life by jumping from the roof. But as fate would have it, he meets a mysterious man named Shin who promises to give his life meaning...

Oh wow. So this started off super weird but then it turned brutal. Shin is definitely dodgy but I kinda like him. I wonder what leverage he’s got over the school to be able to behave like that. Dude really didn’t have any choice but to go with him considering he was abandoned so they have no reason to be careful with him. This episode was so messed up. Cell phone girl was a grifter. And Shiori was hardcore cruel and manipulative. Aside from that, Shin blackmailed them with a phone to do his dog. A d Shiori kept getting nauseated. When she threw up in his mouth, I was done but she wanted to try again!!

Duuude. These roommates are so weak and Hibiki is so stupid. Oh they’re malnourished that’s a problem. That guy just works there to get rich?! How disgusting. Good grief, like was turning Shin down the right thing to do? I don’t know if Hibiki and his roommates are going to make it at this rate. Wow. That got really intense. He was sticking to his position hard core until others were being hurt instead of him. That’s admirable. They did t see it that way though. Now Shiori will never help him again and he’s going along with Shin’s plan, which seems to involve getting Wudo caught by curfew. So the plan was a great one although what happened to Wudo was brutal. Not that he didn’t abuse his power. Just saying though. And then there was the reveal that wasn’t much of a surprise about Shian. Now that Hibiki’s classmates are rebelling, how is he supposed to take care of business? And Shin is in a tough situation too. Thats one way to resolve things. That sneaky little… I don’t know if I feel badly for anyone in this situation. Even after Shin forced him to take the pictures or be his enemy, it’s like well those three attacked him first. Ugh. But I am annoyed with Shin for the double cross. Not that Hibiki didn’t lie to him first. Complicated, complicated. Oh my. He’s in solitaire now. That’s unfortunate. But we got some more background on him so that works. But that promise/vow at the end. It looks like things are getting deep. Plus the backstory on Shian was a hot mess. Jean is his hero’s daughter? Oof.

He came out of solitaire with a whole new mindset. I’m glad it showed him working out though. So now he’s making moves to take over on his own. This should be good. Wonder if Shiori will bond with the sisters or not. It’s trying to happen. The guy who ram away is going to be one an underling I think. he too guess Whoo was first to hop onboard the underling express? Besides that, Hibiki’s plan for the challenge and takeover was pretty great. He managed to gain a strong ally and from that final scene, he’s about to terrify the rest into submission. Shin got some backstory revealed. Conflict and scandal! so Shin really did plan all of this? He wants Hibiki to kill him. It’s like he handpicked him just for that. The bodyguard showing up can’t be good. The head instructor got a beat down. Hibiki is putting people on trial membership and protecting Moku. Meanwhile there’s a hunt for Shin. Fascinating.

I knew that brother/bodyguard guy was no good! He brought a world of pain upon the school. But… Shin is still mysterious. Jun is a horrid person. Like she’s screwing the head honcho and tormenting everyone else to get what she wants all while being a patsy. Meh. Hibiki is doing his level best to survive to keep the promises he made to himself but is Shiori really so heavy that it’s over now?Speaking of which, her backstory is about what I thought it was. Horrific and detestable but still what was expected. Hibiki did it! He worked with everyone and overcame the school. They got the news out and got the students out. He figured out Shin’s plan for the most part and developed his own way through. Shin was going to give his life for a great purpose and Hibiki wouldn’t let it be in vain. I dunno, maybe I liked this show more than I should but there was redemption available for many of the characters.
