sweetjacky I was trying to share theories and discussion on reddit but that just does not work well. I found a posting about the theory context from last year and followed the link to this site. After some looking around I enjoyed the community that I saw so decided to join.
No merchandise in particular, I enjoy a well told story, I haven't really seen a piece of merchandise that I just had to have or remind me of a story that I already loved and interacted with.
Favorite season, that's a hard one, each season brings quite a few good shows and several that I am not interested at all. I'll have to look back and see what season had the best line up. Though if you meant saga of the One Piece story so far I'm a fan of the Brook/Thriller Bark arcs, while underrated I think, it did a lot of world building that most people don't catch the first few times around. Also had a whole lot of implications that are not explored. I'll have to do a write up on that at some point as some if it is in theory land and some of it has information backing it up.
SunnySapphire That's a hard one, they both have their strong points and weak points.
Thanksgiving, while about, family, food, thankfulness, and the spirit of cooperation it also has a lot of darker implications, and not all family gatherings are great. Being an introvert I'm sure doesn't help with that aspect.
Fourth of July, while about freedoms, standing up for values and celebrating people's freedom of choice; it also has darker implications of times in the past, and if you are not the party type, which I am not, it doesn't help with that.
I couldn't really choose between the two. I like both of them for what they celebrate and represent even if specific events around those holidays both past and in the present do not fully fit the spirit of the holiday.
