The full body Haki, the durability and then the POWER on that final shot - Jinbe is a total beast. CP-0 saying Who’s Who might not survive the night against him was also HYPE. We knew what we were getting when he joined the crew, but now he’s actually on our side it’s so clear what a massive asset Jinbe is combat wise. The part where Who’s Who very casually mentions the Fishman’s history, assuming Jinbe will know about this Sun God because of his past with the Sun Pirates is borderline social commentary, too. Also Jinbe saying “casual racism is out of style” after Who’s Who says he’s fast for a Fishman *chef’s kiss* Fantastic chapter, the Jinbe hype train CONTINUES

Oh loving this chapter! I've already seen a lot of arguments and theories ever since the fan scan came out on Friday but I patiently waited for the official like the good girl I am. My man Jinbe owned this chap! : Can't wait to see this in the anime! And the appearance of the legend of the Sun God Nika hmm. I saw Artur (library of ohara) posting that the way Nika is written is also the sound effect of laughter. Omoshiroi. : And since the gov is talking about confirming Who's who's death, I'm guessing he does know more than he's supposed to and they want to shut him up? I wonder if Luffy's df has anything to do with it. Also, where's my boy Luffy at :

I'm starting to wonder if Oda has Page One and Ulti as relatives or a relatively one sided relationship. He's keeping it 50-50 so far. And just in case, the spider was the giveaway for me, but the plushies are the various zoan abilities of the crew. I'm biased to say the additional 2,000 subordinates following the Gifters was unnecessary. They took out 2,000 people in a few minutes! I'm not remembering the handheld mask...especially with that crazy hair behind it (the side view does it justice). Ah, Oda might have gave us a big clue with Jinbei taking damage from the first attack. Context confirms Jinbei is at a whole different level, so Jinbei is accurate in his assessment he should have been able to deflect the attack with his defensive bushoushoku without damage. Is this a "blade projectile"? Alternatively, maybe there is haki without blackening? Probalbly the former since blade biases are so strong. Moreover, we have confirmation that Jinbei's defensive busoushoku is an equal match to Who's Who's offensive busoushoku. BUT, Oda is teasing us with a twist behind Gyojin and possibly Tenryuubito! So "Sun God" Nika does have clothing similar to Shandia, but that just might be the "ancient" aspect (since Shandia stayed isolated and did not change much). Good chapter Oda. Yup, Jinbei was already standing up for this from the beginning, but Oda never had it this direct so it was definitely great to see. I fully expected the outcome...but I didn't want the result to be purely driven by haoushoku haki...this means the end of series fighting will have a clear distinction between those that have haoushoku and those that don't. Oda is making a CLEAR difference between blackening without haoushoku and blackening with haoushoku. Six of the 10 Mugiwara members will probably not unlock haoushoku. Who's Who is blocking the wrist squeeze with defensive busoushoku, but context implies a one way display of haoushoku. Oda tries to hide it, but there is the visualization of the impact of haoushoku coating with BOTH Jinbei's defense and Jinbei's "ultimate technique". Oda hides if Jinbei is raising his arm, but I guess this leaves it open for the potential of defensive haoushoku coating. I really hope that even with a potential awakening, Who's Who is out for a long time. But then again, Page One recovered quickly from Big Mom's attack, so awakened zoans are a cheat code in that aspect. The offensive usage has the least visualization and could just be the shading effects. So I guess that is good since it leaves the massive power up of his ultimate technique plus offensive haoushoku coating. That's probably the best outcome. > My man Jinbe owned this chap! Even though both are the nicest people in the world, it makes sense that they have some of the worst personalities when they are pushed against what they believe in. So it is a perfect situation for CP0 because they probably know Who's Who and Jinbei's personalities. In terms of Luffy, we see him getting CPR from the penguin-guy (I think it was him).

So Who’s Who is using one of the six powers just like Lucci and Kaku did with his “fang pistol”? Interesting. Oda seems to be taking a much clearer stance on things versus his wanting people to read between the lines. I guess he’s sick of people saying One Piece is t political lol. Of course that’s my conjecture from the time that I’ve spent analyzing the series and by no means official. I have so many thoughts on the Nika thing that my mind is racing. I’m thinking of Fisher Tiger doing all the liberating… I’m thinking of the links to whatever the meaning is for the D in devil fruit (my ideas for it standing for some sort of lunar deity like Diana and her grove back in the day… which would link to a sibling that’s a solar deity but that’s just my pagan brain going nuts with supposition)… either way, this chapter was a lot of fun to read. I’m glad that Tama’s gift had a lot of impact. Also it’s nice to know that, despite appearances, the lower ranks of the Beast Pirates stick together amongst themselves. They know that the top brass don’t care about them. So they’re going with established relationships. The byplay between Nami and Zeus with Usopp was cute. I wonder if that important intel had to do with the Gum Gum Fruit or is separate. Wouldn’t it be nice if Jimbei finds it out?

The fight is very clearly skewed in Jinbe’s favour, and the thematic elements of the fight (racism/history etc.) are all tied up very nicely so Oda would just be reviving Who’s Who to get smacked around. > The byplay between Nami and Zeus with Usopp was cute. I mean, back then, he didn't say that he came to warn them, but to talk. (I swear this man is a cunning one lol) Oda said that Shanks is going to make his move this year so this really intrigues me. I don't see him getting involved with Wano itself...

And this is someone they fear now due to the events of the Void Century (them essentially overthrowing, killing and betraying them). I mean one could read a lot into the whole sun/celestial thing…

I.e., anyone not connected to Mariejois isn’t supposed to know about them. Could be a reason for the guard being taken away (him knowing about it implies he’s infliltrated Mariejois or something?)

Anyone that thinks that morality is not the foundational and universal theme that connects all aspects of the series is choosing to overlook constant reinforcement by Oda. This makes things much more interesting because if it is "outdated", then that means the Government controls at least a part of Nika. And that is seemingly 10-billion percent contradictory (Nika is good and the Government is bad). My bias was that Who's Who only had outdated information on CP9, Government agents, and Government plans. The strongest of CP9 are in CP0. Government agents are being replaced by Vegapunk technology (Pacifista and the Governments "new power"). The government has made a shift and is now capable of wiping out a single Yonkou crew with said new power. Unless Who's Who is not fighting with his awakening abilities (which is possible since we only see capabilities equal to Lucci when he fights Luffy plus basic haki usage => his haki is quite strong, but all I'm saying is that we have Lucci at the power level of Enies Lobby plus strong basic haki) then I would 100% disagree with the stated theory. Who's Who has "outdated" intel, so he is not even a worry for CP0. Shanks has zero reason to worry about Who's Who stopping Luffy from becoming Pirate King. 100% it fits the context that there is a mutual "enemy" for both Shanks and the Government. Who's Who is waaaaaaaaaaaayyyyy too weak (again, this can 100% go the other way if he is using zero awakening benefits, which is contradicted by how a zoan fruit works so that's my bias on that happening...but it is theoretically possible). Context still points towards Blackbeard. I was in the minority of hyping up Blackbeard based solely on Jaya events (he is and always will be the anti-Luffy and nemesis to Luffy). Unless our combined theory of Xebec's soul being part of the plot (FYI I'm biased to not say Xebec's soul plays any role in the rest of the plot since that is Oda's style), Oda's only other option is creating a new Yonkou/admiral level character out of no where. AHHHHHH...what if Shanks' role/movement is to negate the army of strong minions/underlings of Blackbeard's crew? I've been the biggest advocate of the "final 10 vs. 10" for both the Mugiwara crew vs. the Red Hair crew and Blackbeard's crew. The Grand Fleet will only be read for the final war. Someone has to help out to negate and make the biggest 10 vs. 10 climax fights "fair" (quick analogy: Law had to land Gamma Knife on Doffy to negate Luffy's fatigue of fighting up to the top of Dressrosa. So someone has to negate or do damage to Blackbeard and his execs if the Mugiwara crew has fight all of the strong underlings...who could have strong fruit abilities for the "vice captains" ). I can toooooooooootally see Oda pulling a second "save Luffy" moment by Shanks (and even more important since Luffy's crew will fulfill Luffy's promise and win the "war" against the Red Hair crew presumably the arc before the war against Blackbeard). I 100% trust the content, but the timing of it determines the level of B.S....and I'm biased to say things will go for a turn for permanent ruining the rest of the series before the end of volume 101 (10-15ish chapters).

Honestly? I don’t know where to start with a Nika theory, because we have a silhouette and a vague description. I might have to look around for other hints and stuff, because he/she/it is such a surprising addition to the story that will probably be touched on later. I wouldn’t be surprised if there were some kind of Joy Boy connection, though - since Kaido name dropped JoyBoy a few chapters ago.

Boa is underrated and underestimated because she was written like a trauma bonded simp of a character who throws away everything she is for a man. It’s disgusting. Or that’s my take on it. It’s not discussed how unhealthy her attachment to Luffy is, how little it has to do with him and how much to do with her literal childhood trauma a d him being the first decent guy around her age that she encounters.
