Ryuusui and Francois are probably not overreacting to their desire for olive oil! I wonder if I'm alone when I saw Sanji when he was in a suit though. Ah, so key people (or possibly Francois alone) will learn the different languages to communicate with the revived people. But wait, Chelsea isn't speaking in Japanese?! The raw has had her speaking Japanese the whole time...so this matches the magical automatic translation. Chrome's comment implies there is a purposeful error someplace. Churros will always be nostalgic for me since it was my favorite food at football, volleyball, and basketball games. They even put a basic recipe too! Even the currency biases Suika over Chrome...if we are talking importance, Kaseki should be the 5,000 coin. But I guess it is based on "science skill" so I guess the ranking is correct. We get to see the peaceful situation of earned loyalty by those that are revived. But eventually there will be selfishness and rebellion. But Ryuusui being the leader of Spain does match the land of passion. So unsurprising that Senku "saw it all from the beginning". So my main question is: is Spain not going to have any drama and it is just a set up for the next location? This would be a nice change of pace.

What a great chapter! I wonder if any of the actual city of Barcelona remains? I think it could be REALLY cool to see an arc set in the remains of the city, because the architecture there is beautiful. It’s nice to see the group being popular with the locals, and it’s great to see Ryusui and Francois really shine here. > So my main question is: is Spain not going to have any drama and it is just a set up for the next location? It won’t be anything like what we saw with Xeno and Stan (as far as we know the only revived humans are the ones Team Senku have depetrified in this chapter, so no personal conflict there), but I’m sure theres a potential twist coming…

No...unfortunately not. Stuff like steel (which is going to last dramatically longer than rock/concrete/etc.) is already completely gone. So for me personally, I think things get the most exciting if this "Spain arc" is actually just "smooth sailing for the essentials of space travel". We create a 50-50 split of options between why-man and "maintaining peace in the world". It has been directly stated multiple times that the main problem is maintaining their utopia since even greedy adults will be revived. Will the two major arcs occur at the same time?! That is the most exciting outcome possible in my mind. It makes the series astronomically shorter than I thought even just last week...but if there is a greater climax, I'd 100% take it any day.

Francois really wanting that olive oil is funny (there are inappropriate jokes to be made but I think jokes about them loving to cook that much are more funny). Anyway, I liked this fun cooking chapter! A bit sus that Ryuusei might try to pull some imperialism bullshit though (I think those implications are just a one-time gag for this chapter though, I hope).

Sounds like people in the Dr. Stone fandom have a pretty big crush on Francois. I personally didn't interpret anything erotic in the chapter or from her/Ryuusui's reactions.> Anyway, I liked this fun cooking chapter! Unfortunately, in his introduction the Corporation that Ryuusui's family ran was the monopoly of sea trading. His greed is 100% his normal character and he and Francois know how to run a large corporation correctly. So actually...if anything this is where a potential third split could occur (maybe fourth). We have the pro and anti immortality sides, we have the pro and anti corporation side, and eventually the pro and anti police/enforcers tangent (directly mentioned as something that would likely be needed once the masses are revived).

> I mean who doesn't love a cook? I 100% understand the sentiment, but for me at least the perk dies off with being able to cook tasty stuff on my own. So for a couple years, a legit mixologist was a highly attractive trait, until I figured out how to make my own cocktails (so good it can completely eliminate any trace of alcohol for certain palates). I think it is the perk of being pampered with something a person cannot do/desiring an upgrade over what the person can do on their own.
