WOW what a stunning episode. The final few minutes with Oden's death and his parting words gave me chills. And the smile as he fell into the boiling pot... wow. It had weight in the manga, but the anime has given it even more impact somehow. This might be one of the best Wano episodes yet, perfectly executed from start to finish. And the special "To Be Continued" at the end with the sakura petals was very cool too

I really enjoyed the character development for Kaido in these episodes. The way that he interacts with Oden shows that he’s more than just a brute. Him apologizing for the baba and saying he killed her was huge for me. And yeah, I agree with Marco Polo about the way they did Oden’s final moments. It was creepy but awesome. So much impact. I can see even more now why Law and Shinobu fought before. They’re both so strongly attached to their goals and feelings in their ways. They’re willing to do whatever it takes. This flashback is great. The way the scabbards were scattered like stars—rays of light and hope. And the fact that Oden spoke of someone to come... it’s all just wow. I’m loving it. The flashbacks as they ran and everything. Such a wonderful episode only marred by the repeated use of the same scene while he was in the oil (him with his forearms bleeding and sliding his feet) like they could’ve gotten slightly different footage you know. Changed it up a smidge. It lost its impact after the first few times. Just saying. Even adding a filter or something to the original frames would’ve helped some... they could’ve added on to it to make him further deteriorated as time wore on but the same initial blood spurting is unrealistic. Sorry, it bugged me. Like at least have the blood still be there and more coming out...

I enjoyed the flashbacks and the music during Oden's struggle, it was epic. I have to admit that I personally enjoyed those moments more in the manga, but seeing this animated was great. Even a chad like Oden died from a gun, deadliest weapon in the series lol Rest in peace, man. I'm glad to have followed you on your adventure! Overall Toei has done a fantastic job on this flashback and it'll hopefully get even better when we return to the present.
