Metal Gear is a series of action stealth games directed by Hideo Kojima. In these games, you generally play as someone who has/had the code name of "Snake" (whether it be Solid Snake, Naked Snake, Venom Snake, or changed to Raiden after the first cutscene). Generally, these game's plots revolve around a weapon with the name "Metal Gear" (or some other form of nuclear weapon). There were two Metal Gear games made for the MSX2 computer system, and then after that, Metal Gear Solid was made for the PlayStation (future games would take this title).
Now that I'm done explaining the background of this series, I would like to ask, have any of you ever played a Metal Gear game?
I've played through the first three Solid games, and I enjoyed myself a lot! MGS had Liquid Snake being campy (and the bosses are pretty neat). MGS2 has improved gameplay along with a pretty good mind screw (I love a good mind screw). MGS3 was also campy as fuck and had cool survival mechanics (they're not much, but they don't need to be, sometimes you just wanna stab a rat and eat it to replenish your hunger real quick). I have not played through the other games (though I'm reading through the MGS4 novelization since it's cheaper than a PlayStation 3).
