There was..... So many things wrong in this episode.
WARNING. LOTS OF RANT.
Firstly, A gumi folks don't know much about their B gumi classmates much, even though B gumi pretty much knows many things about A gumi, except the latest developments, naturally. But A gumi didn't even know about the Manga guy let alone understand his quirk.... Of course, in real life, they're gonna have to fight villains about whom they know nothing but ... This seemed a huge lacking.
A gumi and B gumi fought it out with their all but honestly, even from the previous episode, I could tell that B guni had it in the bag. Tokoyami sent Dark Shadow to scout and also attack even though he loses control with distance. Dark Shadow should have dropped Invisigirl nearby B gumi after spotting them. Then thwy could have gone for a surprise attack. But no, A gumi acted just like Big Fist predicted.
I completely agree with Victor-san about Invisigirl. She needs to up her combat techniques A LOT. She can't make use of her stealth very much otherwise. Improved combat techniques don't always require bulking up, do they? I was sooooo waiting for a moment for her to shine - and there were so many scopes - but geh.
And in the end, after B gumi won by quite splendidly, all teachers except Vlad (Aizawa sensei wasn't shown) were busy praising Yaomomo's leadership and A gumi's growth? Like. C'mon!!! Even All Might was like "you're progressing towards pro hero-ship" etc. He definitely meant A gumi (my friends were slightly hoping that B gumi was included in "omaetachi" but I'm pretty sure All Might doesn't even know the names of B gumi students.
Ughh. I just feel so frustrated after this episode.
Especially, after super serious arcs like AFO and Overhaul, this iner-class training sessions seem really weird. These types of training should have started earlier, before sending out first-years into internship. But noooo. Only Deku and a handful of others get to do their internship and the others stay overshadowed.
