Been busy with family stuff but DAMN! Dr. Stone has been living up to the standard of excellence by the entire manga team (I've forgotten to include Kurare but she's been the MVP of the series for sure). Tons of great twists, crazy fast pace, and everything still fitting together perfectly.
Even little details like their meals being something different all the time is such a great addition.
What stands out in this chapter is how seemingly everyone gets a chance to shine. For series with tons and tons of characters, the lack of character development and plot relevancy kills things (Bleach and Naruto definitely come to mind). Even if it's minor stuff like Ryuusui's excessive desires, Chelsea doing her work, Gen complaining about work, Xeno admiring his protégé, confirming the plot (the need for the Perseus, Tsukasa/Hyouga's injuries, etc.), or the major points like Kohaku emphasizing the positives of science, all of the Medusa trap experiments, a waterwheel powered "grinder" (diamond on diamond polisher/shaper => completely underrated and likely overlooked since this is what needs to happen to save everyone), Suika being the designated survivor, and best of all: Chrome being able to fulfill his role as a member of the science team. This is the sort of stuff I was worried about, and am super glad to see that the manga team is planning to keep everyone living up to their roles.
And per the norm of Dr. Stone, the solution is such a seemingly simple one. Suika is perfect for stealth and she needs to be FAAAAR away so she's leaving with the conclusion of the chapter probably. But more great details with the watch tower being designed as a rocket and having TONS of speaker lines since a sneak attack is fully expected.
I just love it when a series can exceed my high levels of expectations.
