Just came to make this thread and it turns out our manga man Johannes already has... This has started off intruigingly enough to keep me invested every week for sure - the magic system from Seven Deadly Sins seems like it's going to be expanded on, and so far it definitely feels like its own series rather than a direct sequel. Very glad they chose to have Percival as an MC rather than Tristan (Mel/Eli's kid) or Lancelot (Ban/Elaine's kid). They'll obviously be involved at some point, but it's not clear how. The old characters will surely come into the story at some point (Arthur and Merlin are going to be VERY big parts of the series, and I think we could finally get the Merlin Gaiden with this series), so I'm excited to see how Nakaba weaves them in. Some TAGS for people I (think) I remember reading Seven Deadly Sins: seiryu sweetjacky Chaud - the sequel has begun!

Woah...I gotta be honest that this is a great start to the series! Things start out super peaceful, but we get MAJOR action right off the bat and get introduced to the goal/end of series scenario. Perci having the ultimate trump card for magic seems fitting as the main character, and someone out to do good is always going to have a soft spot in my heart so he's super likable right off the bat. The black knight seems to want to foster Perci's potential, so we'll see how he earns Perci's trust in the next chapter or so.

I don't know if you ever read his series Kongoh Bancho, but it's very similar to the Mel/Zel/Demon King story line? I think Percival will be a really interesting MC to follow though, since he's only just awakened his magic and has a lot of room for growth, whereas Mel was nerfed right up until the last possible moment of his own series. Hopefully we get to learn more about how magic abilities work through this series too!

Who knows I probably should clarify that Nanatsu no Taizai is one of the many series that never caught my full attention, so I don't remember much and don't know most of the characters. But at least right off the bat, it sounds like his friends don't even consider their powers magic (or at least based on the scans I read). So especially if they don't overlap with characters from the original series, this would be a huge twist. So based on the latter part of your response, it sounds like the magic system is different in this series, which probably should be done for a new series. Considering that all it takes is creativity to maximize one specialty of magic and have tons of great action (we already got quite a bit from the teaser of the Black Knight's fire magic), seeing the protagonists grow will be a fun part of the story.

Chapter 5 was very interesting... Arthur being an evil king implies the Sins have failed to deal with him, so these four knights will potentially eclipse the Sins. We know three of the four identities already: Famine - Lancelot (Ban and Elaine’s kid). If you haven’t seen the side chapter about Lancelot, definitely read it Pestilence - Tristan War - ??? Death - Percival War could be a whole number of people, but I would think they’d be some kind of hybrid, like Tristan and Lancelot. I’m also hoping they actually look like their silhouettes in this chapter, since the Percival one is pretty accurate and also the silhouettes are pretty cool. It’d be odd if all four knights looked like kids. Glad that Donny’s here for the journey too - there’s something familiar about his magic to Pellgarde, so maybe he’s got a connection to a famous Holy Knight or something? Really excited to see where this goes

I was just about to ask how many of the other three characters overlapped with the original series! So seems like one is guaranteed, one is almost guaranteed new, and the last has strong implications of being confirmed. Seemed like Pergalt wasn't against the rise of the Four Knights, so he could be the Smoker/Aokiji equivalent where they are partial enemy and partial ally depending on the situation. He has his own personal agendas, and wants Perci to increase the odds of success. Or at least that's how I read the past 2-3 chapters. Despite the names and potential "powers", considering they are fighting for good, I think Perci fits right in. A monster in a kiddy body among guys that look like monsters. Plus it's only the apocalypse for the evil king, so more "enemy propaganda".

It's very satisfying how enemies and future one's be underestimating Perci's physical form not knowing that he is OP : It's not officially confirmed yet but Tristan and Lance are highly members of the Apocalypse, I wonder if Art or Merlin knew it already and are they willing to go ALL OUT with Mel, Ban and others? :

Definitely check them out ASAP Also, Chapter 6 is out! Johannes do you know who is doing the official release? Is it Crunchyroll? Might see if I can hook us up with some (legitimate) links... Nakaba has REALLY gotten me hooked with these first few chapters, man. The first few pages are a showcase of just how good Nakaba's art is. Those scenes were creepy... Re: the prophecy. We know Percival's the boy with the pointy green hair, and Tristan is the boy with dark in one eye, light in the other (he is half Meliodas, half Elizabeth after all). I'm not sure which one Lancelot is, but I would guess he's the boy with the Golden Magic? He was trained by the Lady of the Lake, and that Lake is basically a reservoir of magical power if I remember correctly? He had a "fixed" body, so it would be strange if he was the one without a fixed form. I have no idea who this fourth person could be, though. My guess about how this series ends and how the four knights "end the world" is that they separate the human & non-human worlds (since that hasn't happened yet, and apparently that's going to happen) somehow? They will probably have to defeat Chaos (i.e. the ability that Arthur has) somehow, although that ability seems to be absurdly broken. Just like how the Sins were made seem like criminals at the start, I think this prophecy is being made to sound a lot more ominous than it is. They're heading to Liones first... hopefully we get to see some of the OG characters! And I'm guessing this is how Percival meets Tristan. He (Tristan) is the Prince of Liones, after all.
