Did Lucci hit his pigeon partner for eating some of the food?! Zoro getting mad at realizing what cut Kiku's arm off was a great addition for me. I don't anyone will complain about the balance of action from every person (including Big Mom being a long-range support). I'm hoping we get an explanation on what sort of haki or power up is causing physical attacks to do damage to Kaidou. Plus, the mechanics of Gamma Knife is direct damage to the internal organ...so how in the world is Kaidou not staggered more by having his heart cut up?! The Law fan in me is irritated at him taking a backseat relative to what the implied damage should be (unless there is a huge delay in the negative effects on Kaidou). Based on Killer, the mane is a weak spot then? He would still need haki to cut through though and none is shown in the manga (so hopefully the anime clarifies). It's too bad Law's finger is blocking his pissed off face at having to send Zoro to block for Luffy! I don't know how Zoro's attack misses the rest of Kaidou's body too since he is always curved unless he is flying in a straight line, but we'll have to see the angle of the attack in the anime relative to Kaidou. Glad to see Luffy not seriously damaged from the breath attack, and we'll see how much damage this barrage does to Kaidou!

Another battle chapter and some more food for thought... Really curious why Kaido has switched back to dragon form? He just seems significantly more vulnerable when he does. Not that I think he’s taken much damage from these attacks (still the only one that’s really hurt him is Luffy’s at the end of 1000), but it suggests maybe he’s not taking this fight as seriously as he should be? Enma is a straight up hack for this fight - Oden’s “aura” seems to really bother Kaido, and apparently Big Mom can also sense something’s up with the sword as well? Luffy being immune to attacks is funny, though - Zeus makes sense (we have precedent for that) but him being immune to Bolo Breath because of “guts” is interesting. Maybe it’s to do with him being able to set his arm on fire for the Red Hawk/Red Roc attacks? Lots of food for thought, but much like the Scabbard fight i can see this going downhill soon, especially if the other four supernovas took big damage from Zeus

Okay there was a lot that happened in this chapter but Luffy saying he was immune to the blast breath because of “guts” was pretty hilarious because it said to me that he’s too dumb and angry to get the real reason he’s fire immune. Similarly, Big Mom not getting the whole rubber/lightning thing was like umm duh? Law/Zoro interactions are always gold. I’m thinking that Law didn’t actually hit Kaido’s heart since he himself stated that he was guessing on the anatomy.

Aww, poor little pigeon. It looks to me that the gangsta looking pigeon thugs hit him, not Lucci. Law being annoyed to Zoro is best. Maby he didint hit the heart, since he says he is guessing it..? How come BM didint realise herself that it wouldnt work on Luffy. She isint stupid after all. Kid saying ''is she a natural disaster'' made me laugh. That could be turned into a pick up line. In the next chapter he better not say he wanna get hit by that lighting or else. : : Guts..? Maby Luffy can withstand fire better than a normal human, since he can use it in a way? Gear 2 already makes his body warmer, and so does the rest of them. Zoro and Oden's old sword, my god. So awsome that they can sense a sword as a threat like that. Maby Zoro cant control the sword 100% yet, since he just got it.

This actually disappointed me...if Enma is such a dramatic power up in that it can exponentially increase the haki attack a strong swordsman/strong haki user performs then there is nothing really special about Oden or Zoro and it is primarily Enma. So if this is the case, it is more of an "Enma aura" rather than Oden. The joke is that Luffy's guts alone is why he is "immune". I'm thinking that there is some sort of haki usage because Killer's blades are shown to be growing prior to the attack panel. It 100% cuts through Kaidou entirely and there is a huge bleed shown in the next panel (it is small so easy to miss). The Kid stuff and even Law stuff from chapter 1001 in theory should do absolutely nothing without level 2 haki. It is another small panel, but Luffy has a huge bleed on his head that overlaps his hair (further disguising it). Maybe it is not that bad and it starts to slow down/stop soon, but probably not since Luffy doesn't have an awakened zoan. I guess the realist in me wants the fast pacing...but I have a hard time thinking Oda suddenly jumps back to "pessimistic" material. So based on Kaidou/Big Mom potentially not even using foresight kenbunshoku now (especially Kaidou), even Luffy is in for another rude awakening. Enma is obviously on a different level and he’s still growing into it (which is why it feels like such a hack at the moment), but we’re getting near the end of the series and he needs that final power boost. It’s like getting an old hand-me-down that’s too big, and your parents say “you’ll grow into it”. He’ll grow into it, probably a lot quicker than we think.

Loved the chapter! It's a pretty chaotic chap so I might have to watch the anime episode later to see everything clearly lol. First of all, I didn't quite expect Oda would make Luffy fight the two yonko at the same time, as I initially assumed BM would leave somewhere to work on something else. But anyway, it's nice to see Kaido and BM getting surprised to see Zoro's sword and Luffy's resistance to their attacks. Hilarious lol. Like Kaido said, they did underestimate the kids a lot. With her capabilities, you'd think BM already knows the most basic things about Luffy. However, in this case, I'm going to assume that, while she does know about the rubber and all that, she's still not as smart as to figure out the relation between rubber and electricity. People have seen how bullets don't work on Luffy, but not something like electricity. Based on the current context, Enma is roughly equivalent to a devil fruit infused sword. Just having it makes a huge power up for the user. The dragon B.S. stems from the anime further implying Kaidou takes some level of damage in his dragon form (the only instance where increased size/mass decreases strength/physical attributes => Luffy's Gear Third increases his strength, but Kaidou's strength and durability decrease despite being thousands of times larger than his human form) in the initial fight scenes against Luffy in Gear Fourth (the beautiful additions of visualizations of haki). It takes level 2 haki on a blade to penetrate Kaidou's skin in his human form. As of right now, normal blades and normal physical attacks are damaging Kaidou in his dragon form.
