So... this one is... interesting. I’m not a huge idol fan but I do enjoy acting shows and theatre and this one is post apocalyptic of a sort as well. Like what exactly happened? Why is Ikebukuro gone? And they’re using holograms for theatre? Plus the MC has some sort of perfect mimic ability? And that troupe member she copied—was she an android? The friend was was discouraging her was so full of envy I couldn’t handle it. Like a crab in a fricking barrel. This show intrigued me for sure. I’m going to keep watching to see what happens. The troupe leader was hilarious—that rescue at the burger joint and the acting when she got her on the way to the troupe rehearsal lol. The lead and her trial by fire, too. The “android” knew what had happened it seemed but just smiled about it. I want to know more! This was really well done. If that’s the quality of production that Alice in Theatre is going to be putting on then I’m definitely here for this show! I want to see the actors blossom and develop as I learn more about the world, etc. the troupe members are super fun. I wonder how many from the OVA will be introduced.

Wait wasn’t the Alice in her dream her doppelgänger? So does it represent her freaky acting ability? Maybe it’s her disappeared twin? Funny how her friend Mako is so concerned. I think she has a crush. Seria is a Hime now? Dang, they’re in serious financial trouble even though they’re the original? That sucks. And Kagami has some serious baggage and history. I figured there was stuff with that famous Izumi? is it? But I thought the idol protest was just about the purity of theatre and concern about abandonment. Come to find out that she used to be an idol herself. Or so it seems from this guy who just showed up at the end. Also why is Seria performing in uniform? I thought they were forbidden from wearing their uniform anywhere but school. Is this just playing up her student role/character?

Airi was an idol and did semi nude shots? That’s surprising. I guess she’s really concerned about her past what with that plus the stuff with the other actor. Seria is having a hard time adjusting as well. I’m glad that she talked to Doll and figured out what she needed to do instead of just putting undue pressure on herself. Also the audience let them know that they wanted the plays-good stuff. So now, they’ve reconciled and the group is building a solid foundation. They’ve even got their outfits and name worked out. Time for the show to really get going. Seria must be feeling more confident if she’s using first names for people.

It’s to be expected that she wouldn’t have been in that first play but I’m glad that Mako was there to support her anyways. So her birthday was really traumatic and we get to find out why. That was a doozy of a story for sure. I wonder if there was some sort of link between the original SMT, Seria, and the events of five years ago. Also, Izumi is right to suspect their producer. It looks like he has cameras at Alice In, that’s some super shady shit. Is Airi really crushing hard on Seria or was that some platonic kissing? She looked really jealous of her being with doll though I couldn’t tell if that was personal or professional.

Seria is seriously obsessed. She named her Alice? Wants her to star in the show? I mean she got the wish but at what cost? Why does the producer/director not realize there’s a leak to SMT? Ahh she has a connection to the smarmy guy. How trite. And Alice really was fishy. There was another “malfunction” and she overpowered the audience. Then she caused Airi to injure herself!! How horrible. Will Seria see the light now?

Seria and Airi’s relationship is... strained but it got better. Nice that Seria finally figured out her past trauma and the truth about her and her twin. Maybe she can move forward now. And will Doll stop projecting crazy emotions onto the audience? So much to figure out.

Learning the backstory of the creepy producer eh? OMG... he really did get Doll and is going to not only use her but try to buy out Alice In? Izumi saying she’s rivals with Seria was a great moment. Is she now going to try to come back to Alice In? What’s going to happen here?

Kaworun was really the producer’s long lost love interest or something? And he is too stupid and stubborn to realize it? Typical. Izumi tried to come back but got rejected lol what a scene. But after this whole challenge and her going back to SMT, it looks like she’s still disillusioned enough to come back to Alice In for real this time. Is that going to be a thing?

Wait—because she left, the bet was null and void?! That guy just wanted to be an asshole. And he actually had them lay hands on the Oji San? Ugh. But at least they got Izumi in the end and had fun in the process. And they’re doing things the old fashioned way—so awesome.

We learn the truth behind Kaoru. They write a new play and Seria finally takes the time to bloom into her very own as an actor. She outshines Izumi by creating her very own version of the character showing insight and creativity. It was the best that it could’ve been. I can’t wait to see that performance and how it’s going to have ripple effects on everything. Hiro has learned the truth but will he accept it?

Doll gets help from the bad guy from the past and then her and Hiro betray Miki?! Ugh. That’s some major league BS. I’m so upset right now. Not surprised. Just pissed off. At least Seria is acting well. But if the whole world is destroyed, will anyone see it?

They fixed everything. It was a rough ride but Azusa thought she was using Kaoru and the girls, etc to reshape history her way instead, they fixed things against her thanks to their bonds. It was... a convoluted series but still pretty cute with a great message. I like that they ended up with the same future together basically.
