The bike scene is amazing haha and I can't wait to see it animated. I have to read a few things like a few times because of all the science stuff btw But it's definitely super intriguing. And using the ropeway. Wow. Things just keep getting better and interesting!
Stanley is super persistent tho lol. i wish he'd just stop already but well I do understand they need that 'obstacle' before being able to reach where they're headed to. Makes me wonder what can make Stanley stop.
It's definitely interesting that the original device is in Amazon. (what could be a better place for an adventure right?) But it does make me curious if there's a specific reason why it has to be there.
Also this was in ch174, but that panel of Taiju referencing the Straw Hats when they were leaving Vivi back in Alabasta was superb!
Yes, I'm surprised yet not surprised that the manga team keeps outdoing their previous action! As for Stan, he won't stop until the end of the arc when Xeno tells him that they are joining the team (at least Senku knows Stan has the intention of killing all of them now that they made him go on this chase for Xeno).
The adventure part is probably the whole point by Why-man! It has to be done in secrecy and had to be hidden even satellites until just before the actual attack.
Yup! It was somewhat discreet when they left the America group, but the lab car was just direct reference to One Piece!>
I'm definitely intrigued to see how they're going to explain the mechanism behind it. And the reason behind its healing properties. Like, what's the actual purpose of the one who caused it? (most likely the why man). If they want to wipe out the human existence, killing would be easier. But they choose to turn human to stones, and when one breaks out of it, the stone heals any injury? Pretty strange to me.
And there's also the fact only humans and swallows are affected. I'm not knowledgeable enough about science to come up with any theories so I definitely can't wait to find out.
In terms of the healing properties, the manga "oversimplification of science" is that the human body is completely being turned to stone (with the magical preservation of brain function/soul). Since stone does not have diseases, tears, etc. these are all eliminated upon de-petrification. Considering the series' title, safe to assume it will come up over and over (if I read things correctly, they just need to make a new diamond in the necessary shape to recharge this Medusa).
As for the mechanism, I have to assume it takes this guy the entire series. For me, I don't want him figuring it out until Senku is already in space. The trick helps him win against Why-man.
The human/swallow aspect is just manga magic. The swallow side might have zero significance in the rest of the series and might only be what Why-man chose to do his experimentation on.>
Wow, how are they gonna manage to build a lift?
For real right?! I can't wait to see this part! I mean the first thing that comes to mind is some of the crazy engineering/leverage ideas Egyptians and Rapa Nui residents (the giant faces on Easter Island), but there's got to be some sort of major twist.>
Huh, I forgot about the swallows. Does that mean Tsubakura would be double affected? (Tsubakura is a character from Len'en who, while not being a swallow, is designed after a swallow, hence my dumb little joke.)
Obscure references aside, I do wonder what the correlation is (and I hope someone unfreezes all those swallows, they should be free).
Haha. A reference I actually got! But with corn city, all the humans and all the swallows will be de-petrified, 10-billion percent sure!
