Yeah, maby he was someone Jinbei saved?
I bet Ace would either say no, or wait for me to her/or someone. Tough not sure I got romantic vibes, but the next chapter should give us a hint, if that is the case.
What if Ace had a baby with her? Baby Ace somewhere?
Yup, Jinbei is definitely known by almost everyone in the world and he's done a whole lot as a primary ally of Whitebeard, so tons and tons of options for Who's Who. Which adds a great twist to his name (I just realized).
I'd definitely take anything on Ace! It was only with Oda's OK, but the Ace novels showed that he at least is highly respective of the female marine's feelings toward him. With the stereotypical shounen hero only caring about love after fulfilling their dreams, part of me likes the idea of Ace's realistic dream being able to find a true family. He knew Whitebeard didn't want to become Pirate King, so I have a hard time thinking this is what he felt the strongest about. So, with the right personality fit...maybe baby Ace is out there?!>
Robin? Fights of the geishas? That would be cool. It's Robin's time to shine
I sure hope so! You're welcome!>
Hey guys, you seem to be getting pretty carried away, which is fun, but isn’t Yamato a boy? So what baby? And it would be Ace’s boyfriend, not girlfriend—which I’m fine with... until we get proof to the contrary, evidence says that he’s Kaido’s son, right? Am I missing something? We don’t know that him being locked up has anything to do with the son stuff. More likely it’s due to the differences in worldview. After all, if Yamato idolized Oden and was friends with Ace, that’s antithetical to what Kaido stands for and desires for Wano and the world. We may well find out that Yamato’s gender identity was forced upon him due to some antiquated notions of inheritance held by Kaido but I honestly find it hard to believe that to be the case considering how strong willed he is showing himself to be. If his father tried to raise him as the wrong gender, I believe it wouldn’t sit right with him (people can tell these things—it’s not a choice) just like his morals didn’t and he would rebel against it.
As far as I can tell, it is 50-50. To each their own opinion on which way it goes until Oda gives us an answer (presumably at the end of this arc). Yamato has acknowledged both sides in the recent chapters. And baby making is still baby making.
Rather than something forced by Kaidou, context implies a coping mechanisms by a young Yamato that is literally getting the living crap beaten out of her on a regular basis ON TOP of belittling on how weak she is/lack of any care/love. She is simply clinging to the strongest hope of freedom she came across. >
I’m hoping that Maria was just drawn incorrectly. ^_^
Yup, hopefully so. Oda's having too much fun with the whacky Gifter designs.
Ah, glad the discussion self-resolved, but I'm going to stand by referring to Yamato as male or female being correct.
