Do you collect things? How do people react when they see these collections?

I used to collect medicine vials when I was younger. I don't know why, those transparent, small containers got me all : : : I had a box full of them. Nobody in particular reacted to them because nobody ever saw them xD except my mom. She thought it was a waste of space to keep them. Then one fine day she threw them away :

Hmm, Id say I collect Sailormoon stuff Ace & Marco things I also have about 200-300 my little ponies, from the 90's. Most are my childhood ponies, but I havent really been collecting them in years. Right now Im mostly styling my home. Which takes alot of time and money. :

I used to collect stones and minerals. Then I started to collect Pokemon games (I’ve got all of them, except for a few mystery dungeon games (the obscure later ones) and some other spinoffs). I also collect One Piece figurines and I’ve just started collecting DnD dice!

I collect pens. My parents tell me that they will throw them away so I hide them in a locked drawer. I have 50 pens in my secret collection.

I collect happy meal toys! I also used to collect quarters that had the states on them to get all the 50 states though I never was able to get all haha. and lastly, I have a collection of one piece and dragon ball figures

As a kid I used to collect bottle caps xD I had like a small cube shaped coca cola bag that was full with bottle caps of different drinks xD I'm not sure but I think they were all (or at least most) from glass bottles, including beer because the grown ups drinked that and gave them to me xD But now my collections look totally different. It's manga, anime figurines and funko pop figures : :

I have SO MUCH fabric, yarn, paint, so many sewing machines, canvases and various and sundry crafting items—crochet hooks, knitting looms, cosplay foam, thermoplastic, beads, clay, glitter, leather, a heat press, a cutting machine... there’s just so much. I haven’t even listed everything...

I remember collecting Littlest Pet Shop toys as a kid! (Wish I didn't damage them so much in my attempts at customization.) And I went through a Twosies phase too, but it wasn't nearly a strong (I just wanted the satisfaction of a complete set and set my eyes on Twosies because it was new at the time). I still have my LPS and I plan to keep them (Twosies however are probably going to be sold somewhere). I also collected American Girl Dolls (it was slower because those dolls are more expensive but I think I got 9 of them before I stopped?). I am also keeping those (and displaying them properly once I get a house of my own). Aside from toys, I like collecting volumes of manga series I like. I also buy up plenty of figurines, though not really with the intent of getting the complete set (though if I can afford it I will get two figurines from the same set if I like both characters).

I've a Megami Tensei collection I've spend a fair amount on. People wouldn't often react to it because the items were placed at the front of cluttered shelves, but I've cleaned the shelves out over lockdown and have the collection way more on display, so I wonder if people will react to it more often once I start having people over again.

In that case, we have a thread here: https://www.voidcentury.club/anime-manga-figures-t360 Its a video game series, so some of the collectibles I own are figurines but it's mostly collectors editions I own, and I'm starting to buy artbooks and soundtracks too. So heres a pic of the whole collection: it needs to be dusted I'll take pictures of each of the figurines for a better look and post that in the thread you linked later on.
