Okay so of course Bell couldn’t just leave her alone. She was crying and he’s a fricking hero!! There’s just no way that was going to happen—I meant his special skill/power is the Argonaut FFS. He’s the stuff of legends. But this is going to turn the entire cosmos on its end. Like whoa. And wow, Aisha showed up lol. Her and the elf fighting over their chosen wives for Bell was a bit amusing. Oh Lili and her big mouth. I wonder how much of that is jealousy and how much is her protective instinct towards Bell? Poor thing. She’s so conflicted. And Wiene just wants to be good and loved. She doesn’t want to hurt anyone. She’s confused and lost. When people are the monsters, it’s always ugly. No one noticed how she saved that little girl. They didn’t even try to see. Preconceptions are so ingrained. Ugh. I can see this turning into the entire town versus them. And why is that one familia trafficking monsters? Why are those nobles buying them? So suspect and despicable. They’d better get their just desserts. That’s all I’m saying.

Yessss! I love! Season 1 and 2 spoilers ahead: Okay, so. Season 1's ending was amazing and made my day, but season 2. The battle at the end and the hints Hermes kept dropping about working for Freya coming to fruition. Genius. But boy... The second season. So, first off. I didn't mind the Apollo War Games arc. It gave good insight into how the Gods interact and gave a lot more background on the whole patronage system as a whole which I appreciate. But the Ishtar arc and the Ares attack arc felt a bit out of place. I get that they were trying to get across the fact that Freya is insane and a bit too interested in Bell and that the black dragon is a thing, but I felt like it could've been done in a much subtler manner. You were kinda smacked in the face with that and it messed with the overall vibes they had going. : But that's just my opinion on it. Now, on to watch season 3. : Episode 1 spoiler: hahahahhahaha. Why are they even surprised at Bell's choice to help someone in need.

Why are they even surprised at Bell's choice to help someone in need. IKR?! Like seriously, have they MET him?! I was really concerned about what the guild was up to at first, no lie... but after they got to the cave and I saw the armed monsters, I felt a bit better. I was like... ohhh, they’re attacking them but it’s gonna work out because those lot are intelligent. They’ll be able to come to an understanding at some point. Seeing Bell bust out the heroic shot was something else though. He was like damn all this, I’m getting serious. You’re NOT about to hurt her. I like Lyd; he’s funny. That bunny jumping on his head though LOL. They always said that those monsters were little Bell’s hahaha so is there any wonder that she’s smitten with him?

Episode 2Ok. First of all. Humanity sucks. Secondly. This season has already started off better than the last one. It's gone back to the feels of season 1 and I'm living for it. Also. Is Ouranos the creepy leader guy or the owl? And who is the skeleton ish figure with the owl? These are things I want to know.

OMG my heart can’t take it!! So what if I cried when they parted ways? And even if I knew it was a trap, I was still livid at that Dix (could be be any more appropriately named) dude trapping them. That spider monster is really jaded but I still don’t wish ill on her. Ugh where is Bell when you need him?! Maybe the youngster that’s stronger than Lyd will come save the day?

All hell has broken loose now. Gros converted pretty much everyone to his side and they attacked the village in the dungeon. I’m not saying that I don’t understand their rage... but they haven’t exactly gotten back Wiene and they didn’t get the people who actually did the deed as far as I can tell. Poor Lyd, being a leader is rough. It looks like Ain and Bell are definitely at odds with each other. I wonder if Ganesha’s group is going to be effective or not. Looks like Bell is going to end up taking charge once they get down there and trying to negotiate with everyone even though his presence is supposed to be secret. How are Aisha and the elf sneaking in? Especially if they’re to go separately? Oh my. So much activity in one little episode. Nooooo! That ending. I’m so unsatisfied! They’ve been building a fricking labyrinth for a thousand years and selling Xenos to fund it? So I guess he did find the guys who perpetrated the crime in the first place. Ohh poor Lyd with that whole spiel to Bell, that had to be painful. Ryu was trying to keep Bell pure, how cute. Was that a frocking Minotaur coming to be their backup?! It was, wasn’t it. Bell and minotaurs man... they keep playing up the argonaut angle for sure. He looked like he only had one horn even. Just saying.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again. Humanity sucks. But I'm glad that the Hestia family is the bridge. It makes sense. Hestia is meant to be Goddess of Home and Hearth so the Goddess of home helping the Xenos find a home in this new existence of theirs is somewhat fitting. Also, not season 3 related, but I seriously appreciate that Loki is portrayed as a tomboy. Loki, mythological speaking, is meant to be dual gendered and them going the opposite way to normal by portraying them as more female than male is goals. Especially at the Apollo party where they brought Ais as their date. Anywayssss. Continue on. I feel like Fels the Fool is based on something in mythology but I don't know what and it's bugging me. I know the sorcerer's stone is based on Nicholas Flammel, but I'm pretty sure there's a myth about the man who craved for eternal life and knowledge and was cursed to live on as a ghost and watch everyone he loved die. Does anyone know what I'm thinking of? Second, is it possible the Xenos are ex-adventurers who have died in the dungeon and that since the dungeon has it's own life cycle of monster rebirth, that the souls of people who died there also experience that same cycle, unable to make it to the world above? Or maybe as per usual I'm over-complicating cause I want the story to have a deeper story hidden behind it than it does. Third. Why does humanity suck! Honestly. They so suck. Poor Wiene. And those guys hunting the Xenos. Show some humanity. :

random. Love the mythological points that you bring up! Those aspects really hit home for me as well! It’s totally not over analyzing at all to call attention to them—I think it was all done on purpose and with good reason. ^_^. As for Fels, maybe he’s based on Nicholas Flammel? Oh you just said that... there’s Ashwatthama... he became immortal And that was my first thought about the Xenos. They give a different explanation in the story but who’s to say what is right? They’re guessing themselves, aren’t they?

That would be great. She’s so sad. I want more for her. Her story breaks my heart.

Oh boy. The opening to this was hard to watch. Like, I've pulled up another tab so I don't have to watch cause I'm so worried about the Xenos and I don't want them dead or hurt. Oh no, oh no, oh no. I hear Wiene crying out. Please help her someone. Haven't mentioned it before but Evilus is a bit too on the nose for me personally. Creepy guy at the beginning, what your deal? And what is this of kids long ago Ikelos? I am officially curious. OOOOOHHHHH! Ok, so, mid-episode. If I remember my mythology correctly, Daedelus was the greek architect who made the labyrinth. So appreciation for that nod to mythology. Also, appreciation for the subtle d on the eye key, however, gross that is. But the fact that the group did all the kidnapping for money to find a thousand-year-old project and then proceeded to sell the Xenos because once again humanity sucks, is just wrong on so many levels. Now, onto the red eyes at the end. My thoughts are that when a Xenos gets angry enough, they have the ability to go full monster mode. Or, alternatively, if the show's explanation is correct, maybe all monsters have the capability of having a conscious but after years of fighting for their lives, they lost their sanity. Backstory idea: The humans and monsters once lived in perfect harmony, then tragedy struck and the races split. After decades of war, the monsters were sealed inside the dungeon to slowly lose their sanity over the centuries while the humans prospered, slowly forgetting about their foes locked underground. When the Gods came down years later, the humans rediscovered the monsters who's minds were now lost and were forced to kill them as they attacked anything in sight. Now, after being exposed to the voices of humanity, they slowly regain their memories and ability to have a conscious. Ok, this one was way too long. Hope you enjoyed what turned into a mini fanfic at the end. :

You need to watch more of the shows that I watch!! OMG. I love it!! This is how I think!! The whole stream of consciousness analyze everything and blurt it out thing works perfectly for me. Please don’t ever stop. I was too busy wanting to watch more and was exhausted so I didn’t ramble as much as normal but now that I know you’ll go right along with me and there’s only going to be one episode at a time, you’ll likely be subjected to more of it lol. Which reminds me. Hestia still hasn’t told Bell what his major power/skill is, right? So he doesn’t know about the whole strength of his emotions enhancing his skills bit, right? Or that he has the Argonaut skill? She didn’t want him to know that his desire to become strong like Ais was what was making him grow so much, out of envy/jealousy/possessiveness. I think the young, strong Xenos is a reincarnation of the Minotaur that he killed and has a grudge against him but he’s going to have to try and convince him that he’s on their side. It would be funny if it came back as a female lol This is all based on the images from the end of the last episode.

So Bell knows about the Argonaut skill I I think he believes that the growing skill is just an extension of Argonaut. Oh my gosh. Yes. I’m so in on that theory with the Minotaur and also not because I want another magical hero to come in and save the day but that’s just my preferences in shows melting in. If it’s going in the direction Ouranous theorized, then yes. Agree the strong guy is a reincarnate of the Minotaur or someone else Bell has battled. Maybe super healing dude from the end of Season 1? Or the beast that escaped Gnesha during Freya’s attempt to coax Bell’s power out. Things to think about...

Ohh yeah, the silverback from Monsterphilia. But he was killed outside the dungeon. That would put a kink in the dungeon reincarnation theory though, wouldn’t it? Yay. I realized I hadn’t actually watched this. This was pretty cute. Unfortunately the subbed version didn’t actually have subs. It was gratuitous relationship building and fun times between the characters in the dungeon after the fight on the way back home. It does show how they got closer though and that’s important. Especially for the events of season 2. More secret areas of the dungeon being revealed always helps in building the story. Such as we learn in the current season. The fact that the hit spring actually grew bamboo in the form of buckets and scoops is beyond the pale. But yeah. Hermès is just too much. I’m going to watch the second one in a bit. I think I’ve got a streaming event if people show up now. It might not be until later.

So Dix tortured the Xenos to overcome his blood and got satisfaction because their suffering proved that they’d overcome theirs but he refused to admit the latter even while wrapped up in the pursuit of the former obsession instead of Knossos. How.... fascinating.(Twisted, delusional, etc) Looks like the Minotaur had two horns, not just one. Which makes sense, new body and all of that. So, inquiring minds have got to know—who tipped off the Loki familia? Was it Dix? I don’t think it was Hermès or Ganesha and them... were they around because Loki was suspicious from the get go as she said when the expedition was being mounted? Bell is seriously having an identity crisis at the moment. His entire existence as an adventurer has been predicated upon Ais’ approval and now he’s going with his own views and opinions. I’m proud of him. It’s like with our little kitsune. Hero’s aren’t what society says—they’re what you make them. Screw all the narrow-mindedness Of course, now he has to actually face off against all of them while trying to replace the crystal and deal with Wiene in the midst of her hallucinations. This is going to get ugly before it gets any better. The question is: will his guild mates or the Xenos get there to help him first? He told the guild mates to stay back so I’m guessing that means Xenos help only. That’s only going to compound the issue. My oh my. So he’s going to look like a super bad guy until he turns her back. Then when they can all have a conversation and out Dix, it’ll get straightened out and he’ll be the hero again. Wow, I could write these shows lol.
