Gods help me. I picked up yet another anime from Fall 2020... Munou na Nana gives me a mixed vibe of Ansatsu Kyoushitsu and Boku no Hero Academia. More specifically, we have a Deku minus All Might in a UA that is actually E-gumi at Kunugigaoka. We have a Kayano+Uraraka, a Kacchan who is actually Todorocks, a bully that reminds me of Kacchan but is actually unlikeable as Horikoshi intended, and we also have an Aqua (KonoSuba) who is half Todorocks! So there is actually bits of many shounen action superpower anime in this one and the airheaded Nana was getting on my nerves at first. As I watched it, the events seemed pretty predictable but I think it was well made, so I enjoyed watching it despite the super predictability and even wanted to watch more! I was so confused at the cliffhanger of episode 2. Did Nana kill that time traveler guy?? How?? I thought she was digging that hole as a grave for the kid but what does the pond have to do with it. I wonder if there will be answers in the next episode... gah.... While trying out the 1st episode, I thought of not continuing several times when it ended, I immediately wanted to click on ep 2 and now I'm waiting for ep 3 next week. This was a pleasant surprise. And the songs are cool. I am soooo doomed xD

What did I just watch? I mean I want to keep going but I need to get these reactions down—Nana is obviously Talentless-duh how could I forget that?! It’s the fricking title so she was lying from the start which is why I was confused by Nanao being introduced as the talentless one from the episode beginning... like is she trying to destroy the enemies of humanity, the bad talented or both? I thought Nanao was a good guy. The other transfer student is either a bad guy or suspects something and is gonna save him, I predict. Or at least that’s my hope (the latter). Either way, him showing up to go after Nana could allow for the opportunity Nanao needs to get out of this predicament. gotta watch the next episode ASAP. Posting this in case Hige is around and has comments in the meantime.

So...Nana just killing everybody then. Daaaamn. Time travel dude was getting on to her but it was too late... if only he’d remembered about the water being frozen over... but he was preoccupied thinking about Nanao as she intended. Then there’s the transfer student. He is a good guy or are they all bad guys? I think Nana is being manipulated by the government honestly. Like we’re supposed to root for her but... she’s being misled I think and is hunting these people who haven’t done anything wrong yet. I really hope that Mr. Invincible and her become friends for real and get to the bottom of the real issue at hand which is that the government is killing off people before they become a threat instead of teaching them to become useful members of society. This show is so... twisted. I really enjoy it. It’s so hard to pick a side because of the shades of grey.

The mangaka totally played an evil game here. I remember thinking once "wait, isn't it Munou na NANA? How come we're seeing Nanao here?" but that thought soon left my mind while watching Nana being a general airhead and I got busy thinking whether I should drop it as I hate that kind of character. I had an inkling that Nana wasn't actually what she was making out to be BUT THAT TWIST OHMYGOD. LOVED IT. And I had also thought of Onodera as a suspicious character at first. He was even checking the class roster secretly. That was totally giving of misleading vibes > if only he’d remembered about the water being frozen over... Please tell me how Nana killed that guy. Well, in episode 3, you probably saw Onodera investigating Nanao's disappearance. He's here to look into his sister's disappearance as well. So he's not necessarily a villain (he won't be assassinating people like our li'l Nana-chan here ) and I think he's just a regular guy trying to find his sister. He totally would have kicked the bucket if he hadn't been immortal. And he totally suspects Nana now (it was a bit foolish to arrive at the crime scene so quickly). I can't wait for the next episode :

She tricked him into going back to the day before to the time/place when the water was frozen and he drowned. As for the cliff time, she used his power’s weakness against him—the past version of her looked him in the eye and forced him to the future/present before he saw the murder happen. >Well, in episode 3, you probably saw Onodera investigating Nanao's disappearance. She's being manipulated and taken advantage of for sure. Now why exactly they can convince her to hate ability users so much - that story is something to look forward to.

So when he went back in time to the same spot, he got submerged. Or that was what I understood her to say/do.

Episode 4 Goooooooood this episode was soooo good. I had been thinking that Nana was acting too fast. So the disappearances can't be overlooked anymore. Onodera-kun is like L here. He knows that Nana is the imposter among us (lel) but he has no proof. Nanaito Yagami UwU Nana's plan was so brilliant. She has the whole class following her now. But damm that blond. His fatalism made him seek Nana out rather than putting distance between them in order to thwart the future. Since he knows what will happen, he wants to know why it will happen. But holy shitto! He also saw Nanao getting killed??? And he's been silent all this while???? What the hell is he cooking up dayummm. Aahhh... I watched this episode while it was premiering on YouTube but then had to go back to work and now when I finally have time to post, I've forgotten many of the details worth mentioning :

Ahhh. So Nana really thought she got one over on immortality dude? No way. I mean she should’ve known what was happening before her leg even got licked—mind reader, right? But nooo... she acted shocked. He was stalking her hardcore, too. He’s so suspicious. I mean knowing he was stalking her she still made a move on dog girl at lunchtime?! That’s bold AF. I see where she’s going... the self-stabbing thing was a good plan but it didn’t fool him because, like he said, he was right outside the door the entire time and they’re supposed to be friends. I mean, he offered to sleep with her and everything like a proper big brother LMAO. Oh wait, didn’t he say he was gonna stop acting like an F boy? Epic fail right there for sure. Plus, if the enemy was as described, it could’ve killed them all. The problem is that no one trusts him so he can’t cast aspersions on her character without proof. Of course it seems like she’s won but blonde bear is looking at her with super suspicious/sly eyes when she gets made the leader and all of this goes down. He totally seems like he knows something’s up. There’s always going to be danger it seems. I like this guy though. He’s fun. His approach is like laissez-faire to the max. Oh, folx are getting killed—interesting but why do you want me dead? Like I can’t change it so might as well understand it. Carpe diem and whatnot. I love that she’s trying to get out of it. Like is she seriously thinking that she’s going to convince him she’s not going to kill him and then kill him anyways? I mean, he seems to have accepted the things that he sees, so maybe if she’d just explained everything, it would end fine but she’s denying so it’s going weird. Now he’s exposed the fact that he knew about the other kills but didn’t stop her. That’s got to be a shocker. Like seriously. She hasn’t been turned in yet. He really DGAF. He doesn’t even seem that pissed about his impending death. More... intrigued. So, how will this play out?
